[24H10] GlitchMr - Swiss Hot Lava

Let's get into that then. It's possible that other people did forget about the thread tradition.

Anyway, this time I'm making a relatively vanilla level that is supposed to feel like a regular Super Mario World level (something that could actually be in game, perhaps). Two exits.



I don't know why that cloud is here, but it's probably not important.

Now, let's go on an adventure in this SMW style level...



Oh no, the sky is falling!

And, that's it, Mario doesn't suddenly die. Why would that effect be here? See in the next episode of Dragon Ball... Z!

(oh, and heavily inspired by Zyglrox Odyssey's MaGL3 level)

There is no lava in this level. It's like Greenland. (it doesn't have much to do with Swiss Hotel either other than difficulty)

actually, I would love to put a video, but for some reason it is broken for me, so let me explain a gimmick.

If you touch the forest floor, you cannot get the secret exit. Simple as that. Clouds are indicators of whether you can get a secret exit. Essentially a puzzle level, except you can try each part of a level as much as you like without having to repeat everything before it.

May be slightly off-color.

(also, the level is called "Swiss Hot Lava" because there are no volcanoes in Switzerland, so forest floor is a replacement for lava, and the level is hot because it's actually green, not covered in snow)
this level took me 35 minutes to beat
And it's released. YEAH!
Wow! This level is hard. It'll definitely be one of those levels that are talked about a lot once the collab is released.

Yeah, I sorta feel like I overdid difficulty a bit. I may look into making it a bit less strict, but at the same time, I like the level in its current state (even if less than 1% of SMWC users will be able to enjoy it)...

I think somebody this year made a normal & hard version of their level that you could choose by entering a door. You could do that so it's suitable for casual & hardcore players.
