Dr. Mario World Redrawn

I can't get the "Dr. Mario World Redrawn" hack to work. When I try to start the hacked rom, I get different error messages depending on the emulator I use. ZSNES says Bad Rom toward the bottom. SNES9xsays bad checksum. Then the screen turns black and nothing happens.

Nothing I have tried helped so far. This is what I have tried: I was originally using Lunar IPS to apply the hack, but then I found this website recommends floating/flips, so I tried that. I did notice the Readme for the hack says "You need a Super Mario World (U) [!] rom to play." I tried acquiring a new Super Mario World rom with (U) and [!] in the name. I tried using both zsnes and snes9x. What do you suspect the problem or solution may be?
Try throwing this at your ROM.
@MercuryPenny Thx!!! :D That fixed it. It said it added a header.
