Public Relation Rules

Link Thread Closed
Welcome to the Super Mario World Central Public Relations forum! Here and only here can you promote content in order to reach a broader audience. These may include small communities or individual efforts. Content does not have to be related to Super Mario World.

What Can be Posted in the PR Forum?
You can post any of the following in this forum:

•Websites*
•Game Servers (Steam, etc.)
•Group or Individual Projects
•Cross-Community Events*
*Read Rules below for further information

A. Website Affiliation Rules
If you have a community and would like to be an official affiliate of SMW Central, please contact our PR Manager or one of our administrators. Your request will be considered by our staff team, and you will be contacted upon our decision. Being affiliated to SMW Central will give you several benefits, such as having your website in our links section and being able to advertise your community's project and events in our Public Relations forum.

Please make sure your community follows these guidelines before sending your request:
  1. Your community must be related to gaming
Any community about ROM hacking, fan-game creation, or just general gaming is welcome to affiliate with us. This does not include communities with an unrelated focus that simply contains a gaming forum; the main focus of your community should be related to gaming.

  2. Your community must be self-sustaining and have its own userbase
If your community only has a few or no active members, your request will be denied. Similarly, if you have a community consisting mostly of SMW Central users, your request will not be accepted.

  3. We do not take one-way deals
We are willing to promote your community as long as you are willing to promote ours. If you want to be affiliated with SMW Central, you must post a visible link to our website in your forums or links section, and you must also allow one of our staff members to join your website and post our projects and events on your forum as a representative of SMW Central.

B. Cross-Community Events Rules
If you are an affiliate with us, you may also use the Public Relations forum to host Cross-Community events wherein users from both communities can participate. These can be contests, competitions, or anything else that is appropriate so long as you follow the rules below.
  1. You must contact us for approval
As with affiliation, if you wish to host a Cross-Community event, you must contact one of our PR Moderators or Administrators in order to have your event approved. This is so we can get the proper planning to ensure that everything works out smoothly and without any problems.

  2. One of our Moderators must be a representative
In hosting a cross-community event, you also allow one of our Moderators to act as a representative of the SMWCentral community.

i.e. Having one of our moderators acting as a judge in a contest or so on depending on the type of event.

Threads may be removed if they break these rules or upon moderator discretion.
