1 World Hack Now Done!

Yes, there are minor issues (one or two minor sprite memory issues for some reason and a few instances of needed new sprite graphics, but it's finished.

Yes, there are graphics that clash, but people have said it generally looks nice anyway, and hey, the point of this hack was for me to try and make a hack which wasn't just Super Mario Bros 3.5 like too many released nowadays.

So this is the result. I also tried to mix graphics that nobody has ever thought of mixing, requiring hours of manual palette editing as a result.

Has:

Custom sprites (including bosses)
Graphics (foreground and background)
Music (using NSPC patch)
Overworld (somewhat)
Intro/title screen level/bonus game level (because I was bored)
Overworld sprites (SMB 3 hands, Final Fantasy save point, Donkey Kong Country navigation arrows)
Hex edits (generally minor, although you'll still notice them)
Ending/credits (albeit few)
Font/text styles

Has No:

Custom Blocks (saw no point in them here)
Cluster/Dynamic sprites (the hack in general keeps sprites to a minimum)
Story (this is a Mario hack. It doesn't need a Final Fantasy style RPG storyline)
Overworld events (meh)

It can also be used as a base hack, for anyone too lazy to add in Donkey Kong Country and Yoshi's Island graphics, or who wants to use the same combinations of foregrounds and backgrounds for whatever reason. The folder comes with a list telling you what map16 pages refer to what, what ExGFX files refer to what, hex edits made, custom sprites used and other stuff.

Note: Anyone wanting to use as base hack should hold off adding custom sprites until Dahnamics releases Clawgrip, Larry and Mini Necky sprites at this year's C3. They'd also have to make the Mad Jack Ultimate N00b boss sprite from scratch, because I kinda lost it.

It's a really short hack, not meant to be particularly difficult and could probably be LPed in about two or three videos.

I have no idea whether I'll ever submit this to the hack's section.

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.

Eh, just did that for the people who don't feel like copying the link into the address bar.
Good fucking bye.
Cool rips. I like the background especially so in the first one. :)

Might be a little biased since Cheat-Master30 and I have been working together for the past few months with certain things, but this is one awesome mini-hack. If any of you are into pretty difficult short level hacks such as this one, I suggest you check it out. 1World merges a lot of Yoshi Island graphics with Donkey Kong Country 2 graphics and music as well as 4 interesting boss fights (Clawgrip, Fryguy, Larry and Mad-Jack). If I had a mic I would do an LP for it myself.

Looks pretty nice, I'm liking the custom ExGFX! :DFree counters!
The Jack battle is really freaking frustrating, but at least all the paths are open. :/
Good fucking bye.
Which version, the ghost house or Krocodile Kore version? Still, anyone beat this yet? Should I submit it to SMW Central's hacks section?

Some of the graphics clash, but overall this looks like a solid effort.
The boss fireball is a nice touch, and the design looks pretty good.

Also, yeah, good work with the palette editing. That always takes a lot of time.

Well, I might submit it to the hacks section now. No idea whether it's good enough to be accepted, since only a few people have told me if the actual levels were fun to play (Dahnamics, LinksDarkArrows and Mariowings said it was awesome), although I see nearly everyone likes the graphics combinations, palettes, etc.

And I'm glad I'm not messing around with palettes again for this. God... people need to stop using palette 3 for every single background and foreground.

As you already know I love this hack as Cheat-Master30 and I have been collaborating a lot over the past few months. I will mention that the Mad Jack (Krocodile Kore) boss is incredibly frustrating to beat. Overall this hack is awesome and can really test your skills as a SMW player

Thanks Dahnamics. I've also asked some people to make Let's Play videos of this.
