SMW: Twentieth Anniversary: Clarifications

The first thing I would like to say is that I am very happy that people are downloading and playing my hack. To know that someone is enjoying something I created brings to me an inexpressible feeling.

Of course, I am not writing this about me, but about my hack: Super Mario World: Tweniteth Anniversary Edition. It has come to my attention that some people are asking why I am releasing my hack in 2010, not 2011, the official twentieth anniversary of Super Mario World. For this, I have two answers.

Super Mario World was not released in 1991 alone, but in 1990-1991, as per the title screen of every unedited version of Super Mario World.

Secondly--and here, you'll have to put up with a bit of selfishness--I needed to release the demo of my hack in 2009 because, as the date of the twentieth anniversary grew nearer, I knew that someone else would create the 20th anniversary edition. I have some great ideas for my hack, and I needed to get my title patented before someone else used it.

I hope that I've answered everyone's questions. If you haven't played my hack, please do so! I know it's a little rough around the edges right now, but I'm improving it as I speak. Look for it on the website in January-February!
