Super Mario Zone! (SS inside)

Standard

Yep. This is the official thread of my very first hack, Super Mario Zone. It's actually been in progress for almost a year. All that is left to do is the OW and A little bit more ExGFX.

Screens!

Mario on a collapsing bridge in "Piranha Grove". (Note: There is only one collapsing bridge segment. Crumbling Bridges is NOT the basis of the level.)

"Cold Snap", a level early in the game. Looks like Mario's gotta find a P-switch.

"Quick Dip." Beware! Auto-scroll level!

Wow, what a fancy "Red Brick Castle"...

The OW in its current state. It's nowhere near finished. I put this up here to reveal the unique 3-D perspective in which i am designing it.

That's all for now. Special Thanks to my brother, hooligans87, who designs levels alongside me. He doesn't have an account here. As I recall, he made one on Neolight but he never uses it.

Levels are OK, and the OW screen don't shows up.
And the 'red brick castle' will be confusing because of the background...
Gah! You're right! The pic won't show up for some reason! I'll try putting a link instead...
The OW is so empty...
Edit: Darken the mountain pallete a bit, it's too bright.

this hack looks very good, but the floating donut rails look wierd.
<TLMB> I use YY-CHR to edit DNA
Yeah. I plan on getting new GFX for collapsing bridges before this hack is done. I'm just busy with other aspects of the hack to get around to it yet.
Well if there is one thing that usually isn't made unique enough in hacks it is the OW. It does look neat, almost like you made the OW from scratch. I really like it. It feels a little like other hacks on this site, a mixture of the old and new fangled details of Super Mario.

Since it sounds like the OW is designed from scratch, congrats to you Mana. I won't expect too much, but I seem abrubtly satisfied, definitely not lachrymose at the prospects.
I am not a hacker by trade, I am an observer and I can be very observant. I tend to lurk around here to prolong the good experience of playing the original SMW. Whatever can add onto it is something that I will definitely do when I am bored which is often. And I will rarely post and give praise when needed to the hacks that may make me interested to relive memories.

My worst enemy in Mario isn't Bowser but my controller that keeps on getting disconnected from the inside. Might be my memory count.
looks cool
All my user bars and junk are in my Bio so read it.

Well, bro, as you recall, I just registered here. I'm sorry I haven't been active much, but I'll be doing more in the future. Expect some more screens up soon, everyone.
The mixture of Background ocean of Yoshi's Island with platforms carrots is very good.
