Before I begin with the rips, I do have a thing to mention: while I do have some trouble with my hack, I just hope it will eventually get released. Not sure when, but hopefully it'll do.
Now that I'm done with the message, it's time to show a few rips.
I'll begin with the Cheater Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest SNES game(those were ripped by Afruitaday), starting with:
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Euphreaka
This BG uses 1 ExGFX and palette 3.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Little Shock
The city-themed BG uses 1 ExGFX and almost all palette 3.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Lostin
This BG fit for oceans does use 1 ExGFX file and almost all palette 3.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Not-So-Great-Falls
While the waterfalls don't animate, it uses 1 ExGFX file and palette 3.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Nunb
This arctic BG raises up things a bit with 2 ExGFX files, palette 3, all of palette 1 colors, while making SMW status bar compatible and half of palette 4.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Quaker's Field
Uses 1 ExGFX file and almost all of palette 3.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Unclear Waters
The forest Bg uses 1 ExGFX file and a few tiles and palette 3.
Download: Here
Chester Cheetah: Wild Wild Quest - Wall Up
This is the last BG.
Does use 1 ExGFX file, palette 3 and half of palette 4.
Download: Here
This next BG is from one bootleg game ripped by RadSpyro named:
Digimon Adventures - Beach
This does use 2 ExGFX files and the most palette by far: half of palette 0, 1 and 4, a bit of palette 5 and palette 3. The SNW status bar can be used.
Download: Here
The last 2 BG are ripped, but not from a game, but from SMWCentral alone. I only managed to rip 2 BGs. Here's one:
SMWCentral - Clouds
Uses an ExGFX file and best thing: it uses almost half of palette 4.
Download: Here
This one fits casinos in some way:
SMWCentral - Casino
Uses an ExGFX file, half of palette 1 and half of palette 4.
Download: Here
Now for some BGs ripped by Afruitaday and Yawackhary.
Deadly Moves - Japan
This is a game I never heard of in my life, only because it's on the Geneisis/Mega Drive. It sure has some good BGs, like:
Mario can actually walk on the ground if used right.
Download: Here
Deadly Moves - Kenya
May be used with a realistic FG.
Download: Here
Deadly Moves - Spain
Even if it uses a palette, it does use 4 ExGFX files.
Download: Here
Last one:
Deadly Moves - US
The water is animated.
Download: Here
For the next 3 BGs, I should mention those come from Dynamite Headdy for the same console. Ripped by WizToad, converted to SMW usage.
Dynamite Headdy - 3-1: Down Under / Fire Carnival
Comes with an HDMA file. To use, in case you don't know:
1.Download UberASMTool.
2.Download 'Scrollable' HDMA Gradient from SMW UberASM section.
3.Put ScrollHDMA into library folder and HDMA.asm in level folder.
4.If you do know the other steps, then use UberASMTool, test the level and enjoy.
Download: Here
Dynamite Headdy -
2-3: Mad Dog and Headdy / Concert Panic
Your typical singing BG.
Download: Here
Dynamite Headdy - Practice Area: Headcase and Beau's Room
Download: Here
Here are 3 more. The last one will surprise you:
Dynamite Headdy -
1-1: The Getaway / Escape Hero!
Good for studio-type setting.
Download: Here
The BG below is also special:
Dynamite Headdy - 2-2: Toys in the Hood / North Town
While the clocks don't animate, there's something that does and posted a slow version of the same animation:
Again, good for a studio setting.
Download: Here
Okay, now the last one is special. Anorakun couldn't ripped it, because of the GFX size. Well, I tried it all the way to the end and the GFX sie doesn't seem to change. Here it is:
Castlevania - Dracula X - Stage 1
This is the basic version. The only difference is that FG2 overwrites bushes, diagonal pipes and gradients. Everything else is safe.
Not so fast, since I did some palette variations. I'll post 2 of them:
The first one is seen when you fight the boss and the second one is fit for an inferno setting.
The first one is for an angry setting, when Mario is furious and the second one may fit for a dimension. Sure I had an idea of an alternate dimension palette, but you know how that goes.
Download: Here
When I have the time, I'll post all the rips in the SMW Graphics section.
Feedback is appreciated.
