External hard drive is missing the eject option

Just as the title says; for some reason this damn hard drive I have doesn't seem to have the option to eject anymore, and I'm not sure what to do at this point... tried checking out solutions on the internet, but could not find anything that worked, but from what I could gather it seems to be a Windows 10 thing specifically, so I assume it's something regarding the recent updates or something since I didn't have this happen before that

If it helps btw, the hard drive I have is bootable and can be used to format Windows wherever I really need to do so, but also contains a few other archives that might end up being useful regarding that later, along with it being used for storage purposes in general; I'm mainly saying this since I kind of feel like using it in this manner might be conflicting with the whole process of ejecting in general, but also I'm saying this in case this information ends up being useful in some way :P

If you're looking for eject to safely remove that could well have been depreciated by Microsoft because this feature hasn't actually been needed since later Windows 7 builds as external drives (flash/SSD/HHD) are set to idle when not in use so file corruption can't happen unless the drive is actively being used.

Looking at a flash drive and small external drive I have neither of them gave me the eject option either so chances are Microsoft finally removed the option.

Hmm, really huh; I guess that's nice to know now, but it would've been nice to have found something about that sooner... weird how nothing about this has popped up anywhere while searching either, but oh well, I just hope that nothing happens to it since it has a ton of really important files that would absolutely suck if they ended up getting corrupted :V

I mean, no and no and yes? I'm on Win10 and the option still exists it's where it's always been, System Tray. Also it's never been "needed" it's to force a flush iirc. But they almost always do that rather quickly anyway, and especially if they go idle (as Ninja pointed out). So I wouldn't worry about it. Only removal corruption I've ever had since I've touched a computer was on a drive that was insufficiently powered and on Linux where I didn't realize I had flush set to manual. It's always been the "1% Safety Button".
If you'd like to read a bit more about this here's an article from Microsoft. It seems this option still does exist however it's off by default and must be turned on individually for each drive.
