About Rune Factory 4.

So... One of my friends recommended this game called Rune Factory 4 to me? I honestly am a little hesitant to buy it because I know next to nothing about it... So what is it like? I assume it's supposed to be good but I'm not sure it would be my type of game. I'm also too lazy to see for myself... If there's already a thread about this game, please link it..
Do you like Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons or Stardew Valley? Rune Factory 4 on the switch is a remake of a previous game on the 3DS but one of the better ones IMO.
While Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons and Stardew Valley have a larger farming focus RF is much more dungeon crawling/RPG then farming.
So... It's like an RPG? Okay... I could buy it... An RPG sounds alot better than a farming simulator.
It is a farming simulator, but when you're done farming you just leave town and whoop monster's asses and use the drops from them and the environment to craft new weapons and armor. The combat is real-time and very fast and you'll die in seconds if you don't pay attention at some points.

There's lots of different weapons to try out and materials to mine and things to sell. Good lord, there is a lot of items in this game, there's so much you can sink into different facets of the game. You farm, you fight, you cook, you craft, you forge, you tame monsters, you talk to your mailbox, you talk and fight monsters with your neighbors.

I think it's a great game, my only gripe is it barely looks any better than Rune Factory 3, which was on the DS. Rune factory 4 was on the 3DS, and you're taking what barely looks better than a DS game and putting it on the switch. It's still a great time, but don't be surprised by the game's visuals, fair warning.
And also because the graphics are so bad on RF4 that I'm completely blown away by the visuals on Rune Factory 5. Holy shit, it looks amazing.
