A couple weeks ago Jesus came to me in a dream and he told me a hard truth: "C3 is coming up, so do something for it!!!!" and I answered "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA".

So yeah, I didn't have great plans or anything, but I wanted to make something so I decided to go with a SNES soundtrack (who would've guessed), and I found a rather short one that I really liked: Radical Dreamers.
This game is Chrono Trigger's sequel, but maybe a lot of people don't know much about it or haven't played it. The soundtrack was entirely composed by Mitsuda, of course (and he did in 3 months, apparently?), and a good amount of its tracks were remade for Chrono Cross on the PSX. Since I finished the main songs (15 in total) earlier than expected, I also included all the ambience tracks as well (bringing it up to 23 songs), 'cause why not. And this time I also compiled the sample pack immediately, instead of waiting for months like last time #smrpg{sick} (some samples are the same as Chrono Trigger, but a lot of them are new!).

Anyway, here's the soundtrack: Download.
And here's the sample pack: Download.

Bonus: to make the porting process a bit easier, I updated PetiteMM, with some bugfixes and more importantly added the feature of generating instrument, volume and panning commands on the output mml file (in macro format, so they're easier to edit). The suggested volumes and pannings are not that accurate most of the time, so you'll have to edit them. And of course, volume and pan fades will result in a spam of v/y commands, so fix those or face bebn's rage.
If you're interested, you can download it from here: Download.
I don't know a whole lot about Radical Dreamers, but I have discovered The Girl Who Stole The Star from it, which is such a relaxing piece of music to me. It and the rest of the soundtrack sound wonderful here, and very accurate too!

But seriously, that The Girl Who Stole The Star port is calling out to me, I can't help but listen to it for minutes on end. #smrpg{<3}
What is a Lunar Magic, and can I eat it?
Woah, what a surprise!!! Ill check out both of these releases for sure!
I feel the pain of thou soul for the amount of effort, man. And for a LOT of time recreating the crazy effects that this soundtrack has.

You sure have my deep regards!
Yo that's pretty cool! I know pretty much nothing from this game up to this point, but just by giving the songs a listen, I can tell you've worked hard on each one of them. Well done!
Oh hey, Radical Dreamers! I had played that several years ago. I don't remember a ton about it but I do remember its music being pretty nice. Lots and lots of ports being released this C3, wow. And so many of them being high quality as well!!

Thanks for the kind words, y'all.

Yeah, hat's one of my favorites too. There's also a pretty good unsampled version made by tcdw long ago (although it's not the same without the "la" voice :P).
Radical Dreamers has a bomb soundtrack, happy to see you ported the whole thing!
Probably one of my favorite things about this soundtrack is the ambience.
Its surprising hard to come by in the music section and this is a great selection!
Definitely will be using the forest ambience in the future!
AMBIENCE #tb{O_O}
And the other ports are great as well!
Snakebone masion is very simple but somehow I love it because of the jazzy feel.
I only know this game because I already used one song in a level before (the girl who stole the star) but I didn't know there were so many bangers in the game.
Thanks for sharing and good work #tb{:]}

I have but one reply... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA #smrpg{gasp}
Of course you don't present several finished ports for c3, no you release an entire soundtrack. I think I told you in our chats already that I have no idea how you manage to be so productive in life, but also with hacking and porting too. You are amazing and it's a pleasure to listen to this! Thanks a lot for your efforts! #w{=3}

Glad to also have included the ambience tracks, then!

Fanatical like a Demon
Quite the collection here man! I've only ever ported 1 Square ever and it didn't have any fancy effects. Actually, to date, I have never ported any SNES songs that use modulation and I really don't have any idea how they work but the results they produce are amazing so kuddos! The ambience ports are amazing and you never fail to catch every detail possible!
Major thanks to Suika Ibuki for layout!
I'm open for music requests, just DM me on discord and we can further discuss there.

Thanks! I actually experimented with PM in a couple unsampled ports to get some interesting sounds, but I know it can be hard to make it sound good. Mitsuda definitely did a good job with it for the ambient effects, both here and in Chrono Trigger.
