Description: This is my second hack after my first failed one. Basically, Mario finds a flyer for a race contest in race world. He joins in, but little did he know, the race was a killer. Kept in a cage, he waited untill the race started. It was him against the clock.

Well, I had a few glitches. I fixed them thanks to the constructive criticism of Counterfeit. Also, on another note, my ROM is fine. I don't know what happened, becuase I have been using it for a year.

Also.... TOUGH COOKIE!!!

fixme: Custom music glitch will kill the hack in accurate emulators in the last level.

I am finding it difficult to identify an emulator under Linux which this hack will run. It goes into a Nintendo Presents loop in ZSNES before failing with "SPC700 stall detected." In Downground Football, a Swooper kills the hack by triggering a custom music glitch, and no doubt this will also happen in bsnes/Higan. The hack will not open in Lunar Magic because despite being playable on some emulators, it is corrupted.

My workaround was to hack a Star into the item box to forcefully change the music to a vanilla track, and it allowed me to proceed.

That said, you still can't get to the castle even after getting both of those exits, so it felt pointless trying to figure out how to get the secret exit and everything.

This hack is hard and has some Kaizo undertones but comes nowhere near fitting the criteria of light Kaizo hack. The first level's time limit will allow you usually 5 seconds when you get the hang of the level, but it's the Chuck/vine area or the hidden music note block that's likely to kill you. Super Sonic is a fast scrolling forest level with a mock pipe that will send you back to the beginning and a real exit that you have to jump over a wall to find. Freefall of Death's temptations floating around the level can be distracting and will lead you to your doom, but if you stick with the coins, it'll be hard to miss the pipe with the hammer brother. After that though, you run through a wall of enemies. Finally, Downground Football seems like the easier level thrown into the mix, but the secret exit is a huge pain in the ass to get. It's an unsatisfying end to a hack that actually makes you feel accomplished when you beat any of the other levels.

Recommended to get your blood flowing, but don't expect any ground-breaking design.
