Description: | This is a fairly basic Choconilla hack with the typical "Bowser Kidnaps the Princess" story. Like all my hacks, difficulty is comparable to official games. |

So, when you get hit while powered up twice (like with a Fire Flower), you only power down one level, so you're still big. That's fine.
However, if you take a second hit while you have a greater power up in your reserve item, you'll have a weird shrinking animation, and the reserve item will change to a mushroom, but you'll still be small afterwards.
What I think is happening is that the reserve item is automatically deploying and applying to the player when they take a hit that shrinks them, but that doesn't work correctly with the shrinking animation, resulting in Mario being small anyway, and unfairly wasting the better power up.
To fix this, I think all that needs to be done is make it so the reserve item never automatically activates upon the player shrinking, so that it'll always require a manual activation with the Select button. And thus, the glitch shouldn't ever occur.
EDIT (Jan. 17, 2024): Just played Diamond Skyway 1, and I don't like how the fireballs coming from the jumping Venus Fire Traps in that level can damage Mario even while he's riding Yoshi, instead of just scaring off Yoshi as expected.
EDIT (Jan. 29, 2024): In Coal Caldera 3, if you collect the middle coin in the first set of three coins early on in the level, then the first Yoshi coin in the second half will not appear. This is because both sublevels share the same Item Memory Index of 0, and both involved coins are in X position 31 on the lower subscreen. To fix this, change the Item Memory Index of either level 128 or level 97 from 0 to any other number.
Can you please tell me what music you used in Diamond Skyway 4 ?

But hack is very good. I'm your BEEG fan!
Great job!
I reached it until the fourfh world and turn off my SNES console.
When I turned on it, my save file was empty. I lost all my progress. 😭
Why this game doesn't saved my progress?
- There's some slowdown throughout.
- It seems possible to grab a cape feather offscreen in an autoscroller (for example, here), so I just want to make sure this hack has this patch.
- There's a little cutoff throughout due to wrong corner tiles.
- The Chomp Rock will clip through stairs if it's rolling too fast.
- These green beans were awkward to use because they look like the ones in vanilla Super Mario World, but behave differently in that you can't continue to bounce off of them by holding jump.
- I didn't realize the orange Donut Blocks fell upward and had to pause here, think about what to do, and realize that that was probably the case. Consider giving the player a safe area to learn how they work.
i love the overworld, the music, and the blue levels!
thank you for taking time to make this!
