Maybe there could be an update where the coins can move left/right, seeing as they move up/down.

If you use this sprite in PIXI 1.40, the spinning coin may not spawn properly. To fix this, simply use this routine and change the '%SpawnSpinningCoin()' to '%SpawnSpinningCoin2()'.

Moderated with:
  • Lunar Magic v3.33
  • SA-1 Pack v1.40
  • PIXI v1.32
  • BSNES v115
Some to note:
  • The interaction with Yoshi is slightly bugged in the sense that Yoshi can just walk over the Muncher instead of getting hurt from the sides.
  • In general, this is a sprite which is used Nevermind, I didn't finish it and forgot what I wanted to write.
  • The description mentions that EB2 bit 4 shifts the sprite eight pixels to the left but it actually shifts it eight pixels to the right (this is correct within the comments, though).
  • The inverted P-Switch behaviour only applies to solid-non-solid, not for invisible-not-invisible
I haven't found any other issues, though, accepted.

What exactly was the second point? You didn't finish it.

No idea either, it's been too long so I forgot.

Pretty nice! Although I have noticed that the animation of the coins is offset as they're loaded into the level. Just a small thing that doesn't mix well with the default SMW coins which all share the same animation frames at the same time. I'm sure that it all has to do with the coins being animated as sprites rather than blocks.

These are great, but I seem to be having issues when attempting to use them in a level I am working on which uses horizontal level mode 05. ROM clashes whenever the coin sprites get processed by the game. Any clues as to what to do to work around that?

Moving coins! And it can go behind nets! This is amazing RussianMan! #tb{:j}

Tested with: LM 3.03, Pixi 1.2.9 (and GIEPY 1.1.0), SA-1 1.31 and Snes9x 1.57.
Everything works as intended.

I haven't seen any major problem with this sprite so it got an approval from me.

That being said, it would have been nice if not everything would have been controlled by the ASM file and instead you could have used the extra property bytes for property (eg.. muncher, p-switch, silver coin and likes) and extra bytes for placement (e.g. 8 pixels to the right, net, movement and likes), though you might need to rewrite the sprite (I tried to add the features unsuccessfully).
The animation also could have had been optimised a bit so that they coins won't be out of sync with real coins, but that might require some INC or DEC after loading the frame counter and which frames show which GFX of the coin.

Other then that, the coin sprite is a good way to place coins in front of the foreground.

New update brings up Dragon Coin And silver coin functionality. Also comes with a few minor fixes.

This can be very useful.

Maybe
Edit: No, I won't. I can maybe edit already existing sprite to add even more customizations, but meh...

Thumbs up. How bout a better dragon coin :)

Heh, somebody already added screenshot.

Ok, thanks.

The original sprite crashed when you interacted with the solid block because !SolidBlockRoutine wasn't set to 01B44F. Be more careful next time.
Other than that it works fine.

Now it can be collected by shells'n stuff if set to, and fixed 1 bug.

I'm not sure what you mean by first feature from NSMB, but I'll probably add behind net feature
EDIT: added "Behind net" feature.
EDIT2: Now I understand what you mean by NSMB feature, and I can add it!
EDIT3: Added it!
HammerBrother From older version: Coin Link
Also can you add these features:
-In NSMB, they can be half-block (8 pixels) to the right from its spawn point so that they are disalign with the block grid.
-Net tile in front and behind (require the player to be on the same side to collect).

I know, my version is basically just better, customizable version of it.
zacmario From older version: Coin Link
If I remember that old coin does nothing more then give a coin.
RussianMan Author From older version: Coin Link
There is old coin sprite, so it's acceptable?
