Some to note:- The interaction with Yoshi is slightly bugged in the sense that Yoshi can just walk over the Muncher instead of getting hurt from the sides.
- The description mentions that EB2 bit 4 shifts the sprite eight pixels to the left but it actually shifts it eight pixels to the right (this is correct within the comments, though).
- The inverted P-Switch behaviour only applies to solid-non-solid, not for invisible-not-invisible
I haven't found any other issues, though, accepted. In general, this is a sprite which is usedNevermind, I didn't finish it and forgot what I wanted to write.Everything works as intended.
That being said, it would have been nice if not everything would have been controlled by the ASM file and instead you could have used the extra property bytes for property (eg.. muncher, p-switch, silver coin and likes) and extra bytes for placement (e.g. 8 pixels to the right, net, movement and likes), though you might need to rewrite the sprite (I tried to add the features unsuccessfully).
The animation also could have had been optimised a bit so that they coins won't be out of sync with real coins, but that might require some INC or DEC after loading the frame counter and which frames show which GFX of the coin.
Other then that, the coin sprite is a good way to place coins in front of the foreground.
Added it as super cool new tag.
Edit: No, I won't. I can maybe edit already existing sprite to add even more customizations, but meh...
Other than that it works fine.
EDIT: added "Behind net" feature.
EDIT2: Now I understand what you mean by NSMB feature, and I can add it!
EDIT3: Added it!
-In NSMB, they can be half-block (8 pixels) to the right from its spawn point so that they are disalign with the block grid.
-Net tile in front and behind (require the player to be on the same side to collect).
