Description: Long time player, first time hacker. This was made for germdove. It's lite-kaizo, nothing too crazy, but you need to be able to pull off some shell tricks (basically just surfs, occasionally chained). There are 8 actual levels + 1 credits exit. Also 4 secret portrait rooms.

Almost entirely vanilla content. A few pallete swaps + custom music, but the only patches applied are those in the Romhack Race base ROM (retry, wall-clip stuff, etc) and HUD removal.

A good beginner hack for me to play. Finished it yesterday. A combination of annoying, fun, and shell, mixed to a good balance for new Kaizo players. And I liked the shelljumps and some shell surfing, especially. Good incentive to test them out!

I really liked this Hack, it has a good mix of frustration, difficulty and fun, it also has fun secrets like the secret pipes in some levels, it just needs a good final boss. #smw{:peace:}

Fun hack! Harder than the Quickies and Cute Kaizo World (what I would call "introductory kaizo") but I would still put it firmly in the beginner tier. Anyone who has at least a couple beginner hacks under their belt could definitely take this on.

This hack's biggest strength is its sense of flow. Many beginner kaizo hacks fall into the trap of making levels easy by breaking up tougher obstacles with easy filler jumps or awkwardly placed rest areas. This hack instead uses generous checkpoints and lenient munchers/spikes to remain accessible.

My one criticism is that many sections felt like they had one jump in particular that cost me most of my lives for that section. But again, nothing that's really that difficult, so not a huge deal.

I'd say the shell level is a decent bit too hard, definitely wouldn't be intuitive for a real beginner. Also the castle could have used a spin indicator at the thwimps, but other than that it was a pretty solid hack. #smrpg{y}

As a beginner it felt like solid difficulty for me, spending about 15 minutes per CP/level. Some fun setups for it being vanilla. Managed to sniff out a couple trolls too, but I definitely got got a few times :P Well done Dobbs, it was way more substantial than I thought!

Great beginner hack, couple areas for people who aren't entirely familiar with kaizo gimmicks that they would struggle, but a must play for people who have completed a hack of Quickie World or similar. The last 2 levels had a bit of advanced shell knowledge, and players MUST understand re-grab jumping throughout. Overall Very Nice Hack!!#smrpg{:O}

I liked this hack, I thought it had some super cool, unique setups. It may be somewhat challenging for a complete beginner but I think it makes up for that by having shorter sections. Fun stuff, a few tricks that were a little hard to read in my opinion, but I liked how often you'd give the player time to catch their breath and analyze the trick. I will say that the final level was incredibly fun and had some great flow. Will be keeping an eye on what you do in the future.

I might be a little biased, but I loved it.

Absolutely approachable for beginners, levels are pretty short with generous midways. There are several ending trolls, but they aren't painful, easy to avoid once you've seen them.

It bears mentioning that the vast majority of the music was composed or ported directly by dobbs.
