Description: "Of Heavy Riffs and Awesome Basslines" is a small kaizo light hack inspired by the Nightmare Cafe Series by Lush_50 I made in a 7 day period (+ two days of testing and fixing stuff afterwards).

6 exits with 6 one screen rooms each, filled with some of the lesser known rock gems of the 16 bit era ported by myself.

Overall it is designed to be a fun little experience for in-between. Advanced kaizo players should rush through it in under an hour while still feeling challenged.

I played Super Mario Gaia which led me to see if grisu made any other hacks and found this one! It is short but sweet. Ripped through it in about an hour and enjoyed every moment! Very neat boss fight too.

Great work Grisu! hope you make more stuff like and allow yourself more time to work only for the fact that it was really short. But you should be proud of what you accomplished in only a week.

The boss was the hardest part. I still liked it alot though! My favorite level was the water level, but all were great!

Very fun, I could've played for 20 more levels of this.

I like that the one-screen sections are split into levels according to theme, and I also like that the sections are a bit more involved than in some other one-screen hacks.

The music ports aren't the cleanest, but they do give the hack it's own unique flavour, big kudos for doing that. There's some cheese here and there, and some rooms do feel like they're rehashing a previous room, but nothing egregious.

Keep up the good work!

It's the life counter. Due to the deadline I set myself there was no time to fix it... you can't lose any lifes, but gain a bunch in the room with the infinite rex of the first level, that's why it changed to 39

A very short and fun hack to play! took me about 30 minutes to complete but it was very enjoyable all the way.

Spoilers for level 5:
The fifth room can be easily cheased by just doing a high swim with the up button, no need to jump on the turtles. Can also do the same with the green turtle on the sixth room

Pretty fun so far. Some sections feel harder than a kaizo lite, but I'm bad so that prolly explains it.
