Description: | This is a choconilla hack with a level progression structure similar to SMB1, meaning it has 4 levels per World and 8 Worlds. Most tiles are made with vanilla graphics as a foundation, but may involve further minipulation, including merging, scaling, color remapping, and shifting. |

My only criticism would be that sometimes it was a little hard to see stuff, like I died to one of the candles in the second castle, because the semisolid blends in with the pillars, and some hazards like the falling munchers can be a little hard to distinguish. Other than that, it was a neat break from harder hacks.
This was pretty fun. It's a neat idea and it's done well. Overworld adds a lot to the SMB1 style. As usual with Gamma V, the hack feels very polished.
Same as marathonx below, ~70 minutes to finish. Video of playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3LlUfAUNDI
Great job, I'm looking forward to more ^_^
Oh I didn't know that, thank you for the clarification =]
As a french, I now understand why I had so much pain understanding these level names xD
But fair enough, at least I learned new expressions =]
Levels use wonderful palettes and each world has its own custom environment. Custom ennemies are very well thought and a lot of them were seen, as for me, for the first time.
Difficulty starts easy and ends a bit harder, but all is ok. Bosses are great too, and the use of some NSMB gimmicks (collecting coins through a shell toss or hidden Dragon Coins in blocks) is really fun !
My only complaint is the star counter : why is it there if it serves no purpose ? Maybe you could have used it as a Dragon Coin completed levels counter, even with no special reward, only the fact that having it set to 31 (last level doesn't have DC) would have been a proof of 100% completion ?
Anyways that's a wonderful work ! 10/10 (5 stars) Thank you very much !
I did try to get rid of that star counter, but doing so caused glitches.

This hack is kinda short but awesome.
The level design and ideas are very well done on this hack.
And it gets kinda challenging by the last levels which is fun.
Amazing hack!
The first levels are easy, and the last ones very challenger.
Such a great Hack! The aesthetics are beautiful in every single level and the design is enjoyable throughout. This is the best I could think of being labelled "choconilla". For an 8-world Hack it´s rather short and simple. There are no secret exits, thus alternative paths, so it´s a pretty straightforward gaming experience. I´m personally a big fan of those blocky, simple, submaps, which kept being a surprise in how beautiful they were made. Especially world 5, 6 and 7.
A clear recommendation!
