I doubt raising the echo delay would help the fidelity. If you want to raise it, then samples probably have to be recorded at a higher sample rate. Though, what in particular is making you say samples aren't the best fidelity/quality?
If anything, I agree that the piano chord sample isn't the best, but it had to suit the low range and the high range both, and I already got sick of redoing them repeatedly, so I thought this is the best I could do with the piano.
Honestly, it's mainly just the choice of samples in general IMO, they have this early-SNES vibe to them that just doesn't click with me as much, especially compared with the original's lush sounding instrumentation; I know it might seem ridiculous for me to say this considering the difference in hardware, but I've definitely seen tons of SMG ports that definitely proved otherwise, so... I dunno, maybe see if you can try tapping into them for this (for example, you could use instruments from Squaresoft games in a similar way to Harumi's ports; might not exactly be the absolute best choice to go for, but it should be serviceable enough since they tend to have better selections of orchestral samples compared to other SNES titles)
as for the echo, I was more so talking about how you could use higher echo delay to improve the overall depth of the song; SMG's songs tend to have this sort of expansive vibe to them, and I think banking on the delay might not be a bad idea, especially with the samples used here
but yeah, if you want to do this or not, it's up to you; I'm just giving suggestions really lol

otherwise it's a pretty cool port, but since I love SMG's soundtrack and hold some amounts of nostalgia to it I'll have to be more judgmental about it sadly
Thank you!
very very good port, sounds awesome. my only gripe is that the no staccato trick you pulled there makes the strings have ugly clicks in them when their notes are triggered and i don't really think it benefits much from it.
Thanks for the port
You're welcome, thank you for using this port as well!
Thanks for the port
This site needs more of those
Good job on this one.
If someone ported Battlerock,Spacejunk galaxy, and Bowser's galaxy generator I would be very happy
Thank you
