JP was just too easy though, that's what happens when you down Bottles of Power aka 火の酒/Liquor of Fire (okay yeah it's saké, but liquor sounds cooler) and have a hard hitter.
At least difficulty is picking up, I'm heading to Serpent/Louise's tower after resolving the despute at Belaine and Telaine/Telena, but it's tough and the close up camera makes it hard to figure out the surroundings of the dungeon. And with the Legend of Heroes 1-styled moving pseudo-random encounters... Oof!
My partner is Valsu and I'll be keeping him for the rest of the game for that tank, healer dynamic. I'm really enjoying this game, the graphics and soundtrack feel kind of J-PCish (PC98, X68k, FM Towns). I might try out both versions of Lagoon next (X68k and SuFami) to get the West (+ Oceania I suppose)'s most infamous SNES JRPGs down and over with, haha.
Looking forward to Brain Lord and Mystic Ark, my friend loves Mystic Ark and considers it sort of Enix's Live-A-Live. Might check out Produce!'s other games, apparently they worked on three of the Super Bomberman games, Googootrops, Neo Bomberman...
Switched to Elnard (the JP version) because the grinding was just too much, though.
yes the song is so nostalgic, i love the soundtracks of the older games, but yeah it was one of the tougher jrpgs on the snes.

Thank you so much!
