Length: 23 exit(s)
Type: Kaizo: Intermediate
Description: This is a vanilla kaizo light hack focusing on platforming.
Most checkpoints are around 30 in-game seconds.
This hack features:

-23 exits
-custom palettes
-custom music
-instant retry
-and several other quality of life patches

I strived to avoid tradition Kaizo obstacles.
Usually stuff that annoyed me when playing my first few kaizo hacks.
Don't expect to see:

-shell jumps (the kind where you jump, throw shell at wall, then bounce off it)
-bouncing on disco shells
-line-guided platforms that immediately fall
-hidden kaizo blocks
-trolls in general

Overall, I wouldn't call this an introductory because of its heavy usage of regrabs, but
I do feel it falls under the beginner umbrella.

v1.01
-this is just a very minor update that adds some arrows to the second half of "Unstable Tunnel"
to make a setup in the level more clear and dissuade the player from trying a very tight setup.

v1.1
-fixed a problem with layer 3 in "Yoshi's Getaway" so that the message block actually displays a message
-added the rope fix patch to fix a problem in "Starry Stratosphere"
-added a few munchers to fix some cheese in "Lesser Rift"
-moved a muncher in "Unstable Tunnel" to prevent the player from trying a much tighter path through the level
-also in "Unstable Tunnel", changed some layer 1 ground to layer 2 so the player is forced to move forward
-added a few blocks to prevent cheese in the second half of "Crimson Peaks"
-fixed some cheese with the mechakoopa in the third room of "Narrow Valley"

v1.2
several major and minor changes most notably in
-Unstable Tunnel
-Pokey Pounce
-Dirty Ghost House
-Log Harbor
all other changes will be listed in the readme file

This hack is a ton of fun. My only real complaint is one of the setups is pretty annoying to figure out and is unnecessarily weird in my opinion, but once I figured it out I had no problems.

The final level is a near perfect level in my opinion, nothing felt overly tight and the music choice is fantastic.

This hack is likely intended for intermediate players, I think some beginners could probably play this hack but will likely struggle. Highly recommend this hack to everyone intermediate and above.

I played this after finishing Hydro, and this is yet another great hack by Edidoo. Setups are intuitive and pretty much nothing feels excessively tight, really fun.

Has a few too many cannon speed / P-speed sections, but those are so well lined up this is barely a critique.

Highly recommended for anybody looking for an intermediate Kaizo hack.

I really enjoyed this hack! You taught me how to change direction mid flight - and I thank you for that :D

you put a lot of work into this and looks pretty good from what i saw, but the first level is off putting to me. I found the setups super awkward.

Solid hack. I had a good time with it. Would recommend to players who completed the well known easy hacks and are looking to step up into intermediate hacks.

Had lots of fun with this hack. If you're a beginner looking for something after QW2, this would be perfect IMO. If you're a kaizo master looking for something fun this still fits the bill.

Fantastic hack! Very fun levels. I love the difficulty spike in the end.

Thanks Edidoo!

Really great game, I had a lot of fun. #wario{^_^} #smw{^_^}

I remember feeling like a setup or two was awkward, but I don't remember what they were, so they must not have actually been a big enough problem to worry about.

Nice job! I truly enjoyed this game. I think it's a good break from what we think of as traditional kaizo. I do have a couple of notes, though.
I thought that some of the cycles in the second half of Unstable Tunnel were particularly unforgiving (possible, but a large step in difficulty) and the Fugumannen in Log Harbor was prettty annoyingly placed considering its tendency to move with the screen.

Overall, a very fun game!
