Description: After the release of Yump 2, I was inspired to create a short hack centered around really weird mostly vanilla gimmicks, combined with just a sprinkle of chocolate (like in the form of standard custom blocks such as sprite only or sprite killer blocks).

Are you ready to embrace the JANK?

Excellent hack. Fun, fair, and super creative. I laughed out loud at a few parts. I also appreciate you putting the clear video in the comments thread as there were a couple of glitches I didn't know about. The only thing critical I'd say is that a hack this good should have a proper overworld. So I give it 4.5/5, but then round up since SMWCentral doesn't allow half stars. Nice work!

Honestly I thought the only jank in the hack was
sticky flying off the chucks and disco shell
. Outside of that, this was an incredibly refreshing hack to play. Just original ideas implemented in a fair and challenging manner. I haven't seen a new style like this in quite some time, and I love being blown away by how vanilla SMW behaves in obscure situations with relatively little tweaking. I definitely recommend this hack to anyone looking for a new kaizo hack that doesn't feel like any other hack. It was a huge nostalgia bomb that reminded me why I love this game in the first place. Great job.

This hack is unique and extremely creative. What a fresh of breath air, thanks for the excellent game!

Since there's a risk people could get stuck because there's a lot of stuff in this that might be hard to figure out, I went ahead and recorded a full playthrough to help out:

I don't really mind cheese that much if it doesn't trivialize the level, so I don't think I'll be updating just for that. Really cool skips though

so yesterday while stuck i came up with a few alternate strat for the 3rd level. Just sharing for curiosity if you intend to update it and consider it a break/cheese

while im not too fond of glitches,
this was a really awesome glitch oriented hack, if ive ever seen one..
setups arent too hard to read, although i had some problems to find a good sync on many levels.
Other than the possible 'cheese' in the 3rd level, my only complaint would be the yellow turn blocks that arent really turnblocks (breakable with sprite), and also its inconsistency (blue on final level)

brb dying a million times in the credits level (?)

One of the best hacks I have ever had the delight of playing. Highly imaginative levels containing pleasant, albeit peculiar, obstacles that are overflowing with originality. Thanks for such an inspired hack.

@NaroGugul
Yeah, that's not what I had in mind, but hey, whatever works
You're meant to duck jump onto the vine

this is pretty funny (so far)
but how can i get the orb on the 3rd level? (avoid falling after getting it)
i mean.. i only want to know is it a glitch or im just stupid?
and if im stupid, how much on a scale 1-10? (of course, based solely on this, and not on anything you eventually seen me talking before)

i for some reason kinda doubt its like this

nevermind,, i got it.. i think i remember the tech from some tutorial level in some hack.. jump maybe?!

No sane person would ever come up with these gimmicks and obstacles. Thus, they are completely fresh and engaging to play with. This hack has taught me to embrace the jank.

Very novel, engaging, and unorthodox compared to the myriad of variations of T. Takemoto's original that grace SMWCentral every day. More hacks need to exist like this. 5/5

If you don't mind a bit of puzzle and a lot of jank, I highly recommend this hack. I was fortunately able to play most of this before release as well, and I had a ton of fun. It's certainly quite jank as one may expect, but wildly creative. It's impressive that almost every gimmick is entirely vanilla, yet every level managed to be unique and different than anything I've played before. The aesthetics and music are also amusingly unconventional and original. Overall, a 5/5 hack for me. Looking forward to more future work from cozyduck.

I was privileged enough to play this before its release. The hack was a tour de force, oblivious of sterile convention, and a string of experiences wondrous and strange. It is remarkable how original it is yet possible to be within the confines of this broken old game.
