Description: A Leaf Shield powerup from Mega Man 2. Follows Mario's location, then when pressing R, spawns the actual shield. Press R again to fire it at enemies. Based on code by carol from Brutal Mario, but re-coded by myself.

Possibly fun as a one stage gimmick but can be overpowered, so use sparingly.

Please have fun with it!

Uses the greens in Palette B so please be cautious if you're using a custom palette!

UPDATE (13/03/2020): Clears the "disappear while $9D is set" bug. Now you can grab mushrooms, get hit and die without the shield vanishing temporarily. Also fixed a bug where the launch sprite didn't follow you around, making it so that if you tried to spawn the Leaf Shield after it despawned (as it, again, doesn't follow you around) nothing would happen.

Haven't really thought of that. My bad. When I get out of the hospital I'll try to fix it.

I recommend downloading bizhawk and using the built-in gif recorder

More emulators?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!??!?! shou ga nai i guess

Also I am working on a fix for the sprite's little "Disappearing Act" when $9D is set. I'm having trouble getting it and the original code to actually work in the game (despite it inserting correctly), I don't know if it's just me so it'll be a while. Please wait warmly.

I'm sorry for the bother :c

Please note that the sprite will "disappear" every time $9D is set, i.e. Mario getting a powerup, growing Yoshi, etc.

I'll make an update then. That's not good enough in my eyes!

Tested with: Lunar Magic 3.11, ZMZ 1.08, SA-1 1.32 and PIXI 1.2.14.

Accepted, but then again: make sure you're submitting the .json file with the correct names (you put "SMB3 Burner" as a name). Also, please include, next time, tags and at least an image. I won't be lenient with you if you keep doing these mistakes.

Into the sprite: I managed to fix the star glitch and convert it to SA-1, so it should work fine. Please note that the sprite will "disappear" every time $9D is set, i.e. Mario getting a powerup, growing Yoshi, etc.

Roberto zampari found a lot of sprites that needed recoding and to work for PIXI. But you need to ask for permission before converting these sprites and add SA-1. What do you think?
