There are a ton of bosses. The main bosses are Mega Man-style "jump on their head" bosses. Others are various flavors of throwing throw blocks or Galoombas. The amount of gimmicks and bosses, especially at the end of non-Castle levels, reminded me of Brutal Mario. Love to see so much experimentation.
I did hit 3 hard freezes where I had to restart the console:
-World 4 2nd to last level, vertical autoscroller section, collected cape at the top of the screen and it froze
-Ocean Switch Tower, collecting a cape near the top of the screen
-Ocean Switch Tower, killing a Chuck near the top of the screen
Took ~11h to complete. Video of playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqvIHerHvaut7UsbD9zeqjq9H6yHAJkGo
You are a genius Roberto
Bowser's Castle. It's possible to kill the boss with the cape spin attack and if you do you are just stuck in the room and you can't even wait on the timer to kill you and reset the level because it's set on 0. Maybe it was the emulator i was using? I run BSNES.
I did enjoy, despite a few little setbacks. Some pointers for the future:
-I think while many of your ideas are good, a lot of the levels, as Atari said in a previous review are super long, and would be better if they remained shorter and focused.
-I personally also think there are way too many secret exits. Secret exits are fine, but many of them here simply serve to allow you to backtrack a bit quicker, and the challenge can be a bit excessive for what some of the secret exits do.
-I came across various instances of slowdown, but I don't think they were so major that it had too bad of an effect (in snes9x at least)

...lol
try this
Coincidentally, I finished that beta third game on this morning.
Thanks for update it for the final version.
I'll seize the moment and beat the rest of it.
When release the final version of this third game?
Maybe C3 Winter 2020..
When release the final version of this third game?
Major Issue:
-There's a softlock in the
Minor Issues:
-There's a bit of slowdown in some levels, primarily some castles and water levels, where sprites clutter a bit.
-Levels are way too long and stretched out, this leaves room for improvement on the level design side that I would like to see fixed in the final version.
-Almost all of the cutscenes had poor english, I'd recommend getting a friend to proofread and correct those for you.
As a side note, I want to say that moderating this huge hack was a chore and I would rather not see this updated UNLESS it is a final version. Please do not submit an update to this as a DEMO, thanks.
quite liking it so far. the things that bother me tho are:
-too much slowdowns. many levels have a handful of laggy sections. (using zsnes)
-only one midwaypoint in the longer levels.
-the longer levels... they are TOO long sometimes. played through the first worlds so far and the hack never gets super impossible hard, but having to do minutes of gameplay again just because i missed a jump in the last setion of a huge level is ... dumb.
-secrets exist almost always just skip a level. in my case (as far as i played) 2 of them led to a switch palace, which is cool. but why only 2 of them lead to a new level? missed chance.
now ofc the stuff i like:
-overall pretty good level design. not too repetetive, even with the sometimes WAY TOO BIG levels. that's a huge +
-tons of new sprites. tons, really tons of new stuff. one of the reasons the hack keeps beeing quite fun.
-the bosses acutally don't suck and have patterns almost impossible to dodge. that's a BIG plus. most of the hacks i played with custom bosses, had just the old ones made a bit harder, or dumb pieces of crap that can go to hell with their unfair attacks, bad hitboxes, and sometimes slowdowns right from hell. yea, ur bosses are nothing too special, but quite fun to play against them and always fair. (at least as far as i played)
-to get to the secret exits, sometimes u have to do something unique. makes it even more sad that they almost always just skip a level.
not giving a rating yet, played i guess the half of it now. but so far it pretty much looks like a 4 star hack for me. very, very good work.
I love this series. graphics, world varieties, sprites ... You're doing great hacks!!!
