Description: Version 1.6 edit:

If you have v1.2 OR v1.4, please update to this latest version, I made a mistake that makes the game unbeatable.

When you’re building a video game world you’re building with ideas. And that can be like working with quick-cement. You mold your ideas into a certain shape that can be played with. And in the process of playing with them they begin to harden and set, until they are immutable, like rock. At that point you can’t change the world - not without breaking it into pieces and starting fresh with new ideas. -Bennett Foddy

When I started Working on Super DGR World I had no idea how to use Lunar Magic, custom graphics, asm, any of that stuff, but I had a will. I knew I could make a hack worth people's time. Not just a really hard hack, a fun hack, a challenging hack, a hack for someone I respect. Let this game be a reminder to any romhacker, romhack player, anyone at all, if you have a will to do something no matter what as long as you follow through, get people who you know can help you, become invested in the community, and most of all believe in yourself, anything is possible..

This hack will not work on Zsnes and may have graphical glitches with Gradient effects if you use Retro Arch with a Snes9x core (However these issues with Retro Arch does not change gameplay)

I wish you the best of luck

-Sweetdude

It's challenging enough to push those who are new to kaizo, yet easy enough where you don't want to pull out your hair because it's so difficult. Not only that, it has some of the best backgrounds I have ever seen in a hack. 5/5 from me!!

And here I am pulling out my hair!.. I haven't touched a SNES in 30 years and was never any good though.. Even with savestates I'm having some troubles on some levels, but I do agree this is an awesome hack.. loving the music

This is the first kaizo hack I've played and I'm loving it so far, great job!

Amazing hack. This was actually the first Kaizo hack I ever beat. It's a perfect combination of easy and hard levels. It's a great introductory hack for anyone looking to get into Kaizo. So much so, that I tell everyone I know to play a bit of Learn 2 Kaizo and then come play this.

This hack also has amazing music, amazing graphics, and so much content. I recommend this to everybody ever to exist. 6/5

*Can you try to get that version of Africa in the music section? I wanted to use it in my hack but I didn't have time to get a midi and fix the code because of time constraints...

Beautiful graphics, great music and rewarding platforming\challenges. The jokes are funny and the levels are short but sweet. It's a great kaizo and a great game. Definitely recommend it. (Didn't mean to repeat the guy below me) \/

A good beginner hack. Levels are short and sweet. It has some aesthetic issues that make some levels a bit strenuous on the eyes but aside from that it looks great. Boss fights are pretty original and fun.

Really, really good for a first hack. Helped me a lot to get better at kaizo.

This the best SMW hack I ever played I really recommend it for kaizo beginners players

Is there a way we can find the music/audio files? I really want that version of Africa!

This is the first Kaizo hack I have beaten with no save states. The visuals are stunning, the music engaging, and the level design is pretty good. It was a fun time, would totally recommend anyone to try this hack out.

This hack is awesome and one of the hacks I've had most fun playing!

It's not too hard so it is a good hack for beginners and it gets progressively harder (though some levels really ramp up the difficulty and may take some patience to beat). Throughout the hack there are also messageboxes which can help the player figure out what to do.

The soundtrack is amazing, the graphics are awesome and the tech is fun. And I LOVE the bosses. Highly recommended for both beginners and intermediate kaizo-players!

This is a very solid first hack. Some of the graphics can be a bit overwhelming at first but its not bad overall

Music fits most of the levels really well.

If you are new to kaizo i can really recommend this hack, its very beginner friendly.

Other than some of the graphics and the bosses being tough as nails, this is one of the best hacks I've ever played. The levels are short and sweet, the gameplay is top notch and the soundtrack is phenomenal.

I highly recommend this to anyone new to kaizo, believe me you will enjoy it

Kaizo and busy graphics need to be used a little more carefully as not to confuse or disorient the player. It didn't happen to me too much but it did happen.

This kaizo hack tends to be on the easier side, so I would recommend it to those who are looking for a good intro hack (save for the last level- which was pretty obnoxious)

Overall graphics were fun and music was good.

Gameplay fell a little short for my expectations for kaizo but it is aimed at a much lower difficulty than i enjoy.

Probably want to take more time and make sure you can't skip certain sections. I found a lot of alternate solutions to things which kaizo should typically avoid. Luckily nothing too serious though.

I playtested this hack multiple times and it's great to see how good it actually is now. Some minor issues like weird palettes or some cheese, but other than that, DGR World is one of my favorite hacks!

This hack is really well done, with good music, good level design, and (excluding a few levels) good aesthetics. You utilise a lot of different techniques and no level feels too repetitive or long, and there is a nice difficulty curve throughout.

I do have two complaints though. The rocks with red spikes in them were hard to see, and their sprites were really small compared to their hitboxes. In a couple of levels, like
Dave's Grave, or Sweetdude Surfin'
it's hard to discern foreground from background. If there's anything you'd change in an update, I'd prefer it to be those two things. I wouldn't mind playing through this game again, it was a lovely experience. Good job, Sweetdude.

I have only played a few levels of this so far, but I have to say that the levels I have played have been fun. The aesthetics are breathtaking too.

THe skill level isn't too hard for me so far, will update when I beat more. Great hack so far!

This is a great hack with many unique and really cool things that you wouldn't expect from someone's first hack, that being said there are sections of the hack where the graphics hinder the gameplay and sometimes feel a bit off, I still really enjoyed it though.

in that cape DKC level, you can swim in the corner blocks??? Scratch that, you can swim in the entire ceiling.

I've playtested this hack four times and I absolutely love it. In every playthrough I've done I've had an awesome time from start to finish. No matter if you're a beginner or an experienced kaizo-player, I think you'll have a fun time playing this.

It gets progressively harder as you go so a beginner might struggle a little bit towards the end, but it's definitely something you can overcome. Throughout the hack there are some helpful info-blocks too that will help you on your way. The first time I playtested it I had only been running kaizos for about a week and I was still able to get through it, so with a little perseverance it's definitely doable for a beginner.

Super DGR World features some amazing graphics and the soundtrack is just AWESOME. The different tech in the hack is fun and feels fair too.

I will warmly recommend this hack to anyone. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have! #smw{:TUP:}
