Description: | This is my first full length hack and it took me about a year to make. There's no real story to this so if you're looking for a story based hack this hack isn't for you. v1.1: - Fixed a glitch that caused the game to freeze on level 4-4. - Better hit boxes for the giant eeries(you won't get hurt when you spin jump on them). - Fixed a few other minor things. v2.0: - Removed killer door in last castle. - Added a message box explaining how to kill secret boss. - Palettes are now less nauseating/saturated. - Updated some of the music as my porting skills now consist of more than simply dumping a midi into TinyMML. - A few other misc changes. |

Some secret exits are really hard to find, but they are optional, so it's not a problem.
Also, the first special world level is way harder, than anything else in this hack.
Difficulty is OK, some levels are hard but remain totally beatable without using savestates.

The design is well made, probably one of the strongest points of this hack. The good thing is that it's well varied, it never results boring, even if the gimmicks around are samey (use the key to unlock passages, P-Switch sections). A few levels were.. really silly, mainly the ones in the special world. I hated those "brambles" level where you had to guess which wall was solid and which not. Speaking of this, there are actually lots of sections where you have to pass walls that look solid. A good hack on this aspect either way, as I said already, player has fun while going through this.
Aesthetics is the total opposite of good. Except for the player GFX, which is well done, the rest is pretty silly looking, all the time. There is not only a clash of styles going on in general (NES + redrawn + SMW), but there is mainly a really bad palette work. The screens up there show what I mean, it really looks too bad on this aspect.
Some issues:
- Sprite tile limits issues, occuring rarely.
- In "2-3" the secret boss can't be defeated. There's no throw blocks or something you can throw at him to defeat.
- "Last Castle" has a secondary exit that kills you instantly due to the player's placement being too low compared to the camera position.
Overall, 3/5. Yet another good-to-play but silly-looking hack.
