    Description: The famous Koji Kondo piece that everyone knows... created with loads of TLC and an unhealthy attention to detail for the SPC700! Worth using for anything? You decide.

    I'll be the first to admit the text isn't so intuitive. To create it, I used a build of FamiTracker which allows NSF importing, and examined the data frame by frame, which I attempted to imitate as such with AMK while keeping headaches under some control. A few mostly insignificant commands I originally used were stripped from the port submitted here, and some further optimization was done to reduce the insert size. Enjoy :)

    the notes on the triangle channel actually last for 7.75 ticks, but rainwarrior's NSF importer cannot represent the linear counter

    I don't get it. when I try to insert it, it says
    File: sampled/smb1_overworld.txt Line: 35:
    The specified sample was not included in this song.

    Line 35 is "square192.brr" $bf $74 $00 $18 $00

    This is eerily overly accurate. Amazing job!

    It took roughly 5-6 hours over mostly a night of boredom and curiosity. I had just listened to Super Mario RPG's 8 bit imitation, and IMHO it fell short. I'd not heard anything on the SPC700 that really had me fooled into thinking I was listening to a chiptune, so curiosity got the better of me and I thought, "Hey I wonder if I can do that." Lol

    at first, i thought "we already have this song ported", but then i looked at the txt and listened to the spc... wow, seriously nice work! i love this sort of hyper-accuracy. how long did this take?

    You're a bit late, but it sounds good I guess

    There's at least 1 8-bit pport of SMB music here and so I thought I might as well try and make my own. That was the motivation for this experiment. IMHO Whether people can find a use for it is their decision :)

    Pretty accurate, but I wonder how it could be used in a hack #wario{-_-?}
