Most hacks are very well made but they're also pretty difficult.

I've triad a lot and while they are extremely well put together graphic, level and music wise they're just a bit too difficult for me.
Heck, I only barely got to the forest stage in SMW.

Thank you for making a hack for the few of us who are casual players.

I like the Nintendo "feel". Some might say it's boring and stale but I for one, play games to relax.

Thank you.

Such a good looking game. Just played through the first world and everything is so vivid and pretty! The gameplay is nice and the game, so far, flows really well.

This is my favorite of your hacks Gamma.
I love choconilla hacks and here everything is just perfect, your level design is great, just a bit too linear but still pretty good, the music is also good and the visuals are nice, to be honest this is one of your best looking hacks in the graphics department.

The only issue I have is the Bowser boss fight at the end, it can get very unfair because sometimes he just wont spawn any shells to throw back at him, so he unavoidable end up cornering the player on the wall and when that happens guess what? the player has to redo an long-ass Castle level with no checkpoints all over again every time.

Besides that, Its one of my favorite hacks ever.
So I rate this 4/5 stars.

Well, I loved this hack. It sure is another nice hack from Gamma V. BCT is pretty fun and not very hard. The use of vanilla graphics is excellent. It's sure a thing that you should give a shot.

Graphics: 20/20 - very good.
Level design: 20/20 - well designed levels, even though they're very linear.
Fun and difficulty curve: 17/20 - it's surely a fun hack, and the difficulty curve progresses nicely.
Musics: 17/20 - good soundtrack, but nothing fantastic.
Overworld and other things: 16/20 - the OW is nice. Custom sprites and ASM stuff are also good things here.

Overall: 90/100 - Hack recommended!

Your hack is amazing!!! I got every single exit even the back door, and it shows up as 81 exits. Before I beat the back door, I had 81 exits. After I beat it, I still had 81. Is this a glitch or what?

Most levels are pretty straight-forward and very simple in design, nothing particularily interesting. The secret exits are not very well-hidden nor do they actually offer anything besides finding a specific pipe to enter most of the time.

The custom bosses are pretty awful to be honest, they're more annoying than anything because they do stuff randomly which often means spawning something that kills you exactly when you jump on them. Also one of them can just walk off the level killing itself without actually ending the level.

And Bowser isn't actually beatable I'm pretty sure. I've knocked him into the lava three times and it just doesn't do anything, he just respawns. Being near the lava pit doesn't end the level either. Doesn't help that the odds of actually getting a shell are so absurdly low he usually just walks all the way to the left cornering and killing you.

The visuals are the main focus in this hack and sadly that is basically all it got. Great use of vanilla graphics though, if only the level design got the same amount of love.

Levels not that special, minus points for bosses and secret exits. 2/5

Your graphics are great. Can I use them please? And the graphics in Kamek's Island are great too. Mind if I use them also? I'm trying to play version 1.6 of Kamek's Island. I patch it to a clean rom, but I can't play it in ZSNES. I even renamed the rom Kamek's Island 1.6 and it still does not work. Also I want to extract your ExGFX from your hack but when I opened it, it showed glitched GFX. Can you help me?

Excited to play this, it looks good, another great hack by Gamma V...

A very great hack Gamma V !

Firstly I commented here because I thought the game doesn't offer the ability to save, but I found out that it auto-saves so that's great ! Do you do this with all of your games ?

I like all in this hack : the overworld, which is one of the best I've ever seen with this pretty DKC-inspired island. You paid attention to all details, in the overworld and in levels too. I particularly loved the glass-like castle #6.

However, I was able to find only 81 exits (without using savestates)... Did I miss something of the 82nd is the last level with Bowser ? To this point, and to answer to Paddy, to kill the last boss you have to use green shells to push Bowser into lava. The problem is that the shells spouted appear to be quite random, as sometimes he doesn't give one, and sometimes he gives 3 in a raw and right in the beginning of the fight, which lets you kill him in a few seconds.

To conclude, this is a very great game with good music and very pretty levels.

10/10 (5 stars) Thank you very much !

The problem is that you can't jump over Bowser and he is almost always walking towards you, so how do you get him near the lava pit exactly? He releases a green koopa very rarely to hit him with so you are just left with Bowser inevitably killing you by walking too far left in to you.

Paddy, you have to be near the lava pit to end the battle. That's how it works for me. This is because I needed to put in a level teleporter sprite since the Bowser boss I used doesn't end the level or activate the screen exit when he dies. I should mention that on the sprite's page.

"Nothing about any of the levels for me, however, stood out at all. They all have a "been there, done that" feel to them. All the levels seem to mesh together with no unique identity to any of them. Pretty much all of them have the standard left to right deal. "

Exactly what I posted about this hack a few days ago, but the hack now seems to have been re-uploaded so all previous comments (mostly negative) have disappeared. Boring levels with similar designs, regardless of the theme used, and a final Bowser that's hard to beat, and once you finally do, it doesn't do anything so the game can technically not be finished. These things need to be checked before upload, rather basic I'd have thought.

This is a nicely done hack, but it's very middle-of-the-road.

The level design is solid and well put-together, and the visuals are very well-done. The mixture of original tilesets and new palettes is impressive and a nice treat on the eyes. Nothing about any of the levels for me, however, stood out at all. They all have a "been there, done that" feel to them. All the levels seem to mesh together with no unique identity to any of them. Pretty much all of them have the standard left to right deal.

There are several secret paths and exits throughout the hack, but none are particularly challenging to track down. The secret levels have nothing that stand out from the others to warrant their hidden status, but then again, you don't have to put much effort into finding them.

When all is said and done, I think this is an "okay" hack: 3 out of 5 stars.

I've played this through. Not that happy with it. A lot of the level design seems the same, you can almost tell which pipes you can go don, they usually have a jumping piranha plant coming out of them and are placed beside a slightly taller pipe beside a pit. A lot of the levels play the same just with different tile sets. No real variation. Also, I've beaten Bowser and nothing happens, the counter just keeps going down, move to the left and back to the right and Bowser re-appears with no time to defeat him again. Also, I *HATE* that version of Bowser as a final boss. The shells take ages to spawn and Bowser is always walking towards you faster than you can hit him so you lose power or die far too easily. Overall, I did like a few things, but they paled in comparison to what I hated about it. 4/10.

Does this hack have the default SMW credits sequence? I'm asking this because I'm tired of resetting the game after the credits!
