Submission Details

Name: VWF NPC v3.1 and VWF Info Box DX
Authors: Alcaro, Dispari Scuro, Major Flare, yoshicookiezeus
Added:
Tool: Romi's Spritetool
Type: Standard
Dynamic: No
Disassembly: No
Includes GFX: Yes
Description: These are the NPC Sprite by Dispari Scuro and Alcaro and the Info Box DX Sprite by yoshicookiezeus, but adapted to be used with VWF Dialogues Patch by RPG Hacker. They're configured so you can display up to 32 different messages using just ONE sprite! Read the readme for some info. Other details are in the .asm files.

EXTRA BIT: Will force the sprites to read colors from another palette when deciding the message to show up. Also, in the NPCs, it will force them to assume another set of tiles.

Does the NPC sprite also exist for PIXI + sa-1?

If you are using the PIXI Sprite tool, please use VWF NPC v3.1 and VWF Info Box .

The Yoshi tongue is comprehensible; probably, the sprite GFX takes its space. It's a matter of rearranging the tileset inside the sprite code. As the warp pipes... dunno. Could be a problem with your vwf cutscene or similar.

When I use the NPC sprite it makes Yoshi's tongue disappear and makes certain warp pipes take me to an incomplete bonus level. Has there been a fix for this? I'm a little late to the hacking game
