Well, I'm not the only one who hasn't showed progress for those levels in awhile (Plus I recall one of you guys saying we didn't have deadlines for those.) But regardless I don't have a problem with the level being dropped. My problem was with the lack of communication.


MrEsc's level is complete (he sent me the files a while ago)
Mario's Hat's level I've seen plenty of progress of. Fairly recently too.
Your level, on the other hand. I've not seen any progress at all, and I've yet to see any ideas besides the actual theme for your level. I highly doubt you even had progress at the time really.
In addition, the amount of time it took to complete your other level (you only managed to complete it when I said I was going to drop it soon...) doesn't exactly leave me filled with confidence.


@Anonymousjustified: Sure! In fact, I highly recommend you use map16. ExGFX is not allowed except for minor modifications to the existing GFX. EG. the forest slopes I am using in my level, more switch palace tiles etc. You can also use ExGFX to combine tilesets if neceesary.

That's perfectly fine. As long as you show progress every two weeks or so, that is fine.
@JDC: Well I won't drag this on longer then I have already. I've mentioned that my main problem was the fact that nobody bothered to tell me. (Especially since I didn't know we had a deadline for those levels.) I was going to work on my lava mountains level then come back to the level, but nobody ever bothered to responded until just recently. But I understand that it shouldn't have took me that long to barely have any progress. (I just would've liked to been notified.)

I had that exact same issue in JDCGames Collaboration 1.

What I do recommend is give people warnings and communicate. PM's are always a good way to contact people (Unless, of course, they don't check their PM's), or the old JDCGames IRC Channel. Or even the Chat box back at the old JDCGames

I see. Well, I guess that's alright. I'll work with what I got, and if I get any ExGFX ideas, I'll be sure to send you a mock-up screenshot for approval.

As it's known here, the song is "CUSTOM - Temple Theme" by Jascha, found for free use in the Music section of the site.

I'll need to claim Map16 tileset 23.

I also think I'll need a new download link for the base ROM, since the main site is currently down.

Finally, what other restrictions should I be aware of?

Mmkay, since it seems the music ID I was planning on taking was already taken, and considering that you've updated the list, I'll take 44 and as a temporary name, call it 'TempleRush.txt'. That is, until I'm further in the development of the level.

Yeah, the list gets updated every base ROM with new songs. It's better to just design around the soing until it is officially added.

Just popping in to check if anyone played my level demo. Hate to sound needy, but I'll like to know if i'm going in the right direction.

@SF: It's going good so far. The only thing is there is a bit of cutoff so far, mostly where the forest ledges meet the grassland ones. I think you're aware of that though.
As from that, the palette is definitely a big improvement and the design is good so far too. The only other major issue is the pipe acting a bit odd. I suggest you remove that really.
Other than that, keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing it done.
I'm probably going to have to drop what I'm working on here. I just got a big burst of motivation to work on my own projects due to what's going on in the new tool releases. Seriously, some VERY useful tools are being manufactured there, that I recommend anyone and everyone check out.
