This is.... excellent! I love the EXGFX, Mario's Costume, and pretty much everything, I hope you finish this hack.
i must say, your very skilled at hack making. And i don´t like the last picture with 3D mario either. He looks so damn anyoying. But keep it anyways, he just looks anyoying.
Haha well I'm gonna be changing that soon anyway, because he's not wearing his indy clothes :P

Oh and Reading, could you be so kind and show me an example of what you're talking about with the Layer 1 and layer 2 text?

Expect updates a little later, midweek, as I'm going out all day for my birthday today, my god I'm 20, and I have work to do monday and tuesday. Cya soon! (I'l still come back to answer questions)

Well, I'm not Reading, but here you go.
Obviously, that cutscene will not be in-game. ^_^

Fluffy video games by me and Raibys!

Kc, I have one thing to say:

I FULLY SUPPORT THIS HACK!!!

Honestly, this looks amazing. Your graphics are awesome. I did something like this once, but not nearly as fancy as this! If you can make the level design awesome, then this will be at the top of the front page. Just think about it, as a featured hack. You deserve... a medal for this or something.

All I can say now is, I hope this goes well. This really needs a support userbar.

At the minute I'm replacing some sprites with smkdan's awesome SML sprites, maybe tweaking the graphics a little bit to make them fit more.

Wow, that looks awseome, I love that Pulling the switch cutsnene...
That cutscene is pretty good. Is it done by ExAnimation (which would activate when a POW or ON/OFF switch is pressed)?

Cool job on that. Maybe I'm gonna borrow some ideas from this hack.
You'll get my full support.
--------> Don't follow "Find Roy's Dignity", my hack. Because it's pretty outdated. <--------
That's indeed excellent. I was just wondering why the top part of the screen is flickering like that. Usually that happens if you have a lot of custom animations in the level, but I fail to see them, so... why is it there?

Besides that, I love how you made the "question blocks" disappear after you hit them. I thought of that one time as well, but never really came around doing that and I probably never will. Still, I really like that someone actually just did that. Overall, really unique stuff you have there.

Very nice, indeed!

When I first saw your hack, I thought: "Nice graphics and all but meh... I didn't saw that much so far, let's see how this hack advances". Now, I have to say, it's just plain amazing! The way how you added many interesting elements together shows of how good a hack can be.

There's something that irks me though: The climbing animation of Mario shows a gigantic hat while from the side, it looks very flat. If you come around that, could you give it a neat fix? That would be nice.

Not to speak about the level design. I think you really got skills in that, there are many ways, paths that leads to impasses with coins which is quite nice. Your idea of dissapearing question blocks indeed worth a shot but tell me, are they solid after they're hit? If not, can you tell me how you did that? Of course, with a custom block it could be possible I guess but I don't think that a custom block could imitate the question block's move that good.

You have my full support, you can find the userbar in my profile. ;)
Keep up on this!
HOLY SHIT, that's not just good, that's AMAZING!

Your thwomp GFX are amazing, your switch room is very well polished, and the traps are creative.
It's not even close to Halloween, and already Christmas Sales are starting early!
:o
OMG!
Wow.
If I said I could wait for the release, or even a demo, I would be lying to huge extremes.
That's great. I love the way you made the fireball blocks turn into shatter blocks. Adding that middle step is just icing.

You should fix the flicker though, as FPI said. Try to make sure each sub-map has the minimum number of ExAnimation tiles to prevent that. In my experience, you can usually fit 5 or 6 per submap before getting noticeable flicker.
Thanks alot guys!

This is something I haven't got around doing yet, but I would've probably forgot anyway lol, so thanks for pointing that out.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but if you look closely, the blocks don't disappear, the brown blocks just share the same pallete as the background, which I hope to fix soon.

At the minute I'm just working on a new style of boss, rather than having to throw a block or stomp on a boss 3 or more times, I hope try and create different style, e.g. a chase, having a boss chase you, and having to avoid obsticals, if you get to the end, then you don't have to fight him, if not then you do. But thats just 1 example, I have lots of boss mini games in mind.

This hack looks amazing! The graphics fit very well, and the level design is very nice. I like how you have many secrets and different paths to take, and the fact that you decorated the pyramid is a nice touch as well.

My only complaint is the Punch sprite. It doesn't fit well with the pyramid scheme. Aside from that, this looks fantastic.
