Holy shit what was this store called? I'm going to boommark this thread in case I somehow end up in Tokyo!
Can you check if they have a website, Pac? I'm sure I could find something of value in there.
The store is called レトロげーむキャンプ (Retoro Gēmu Kyanpu -- Retro Game Camp)

I still remember when you were telling me about moving there in Minecraft

Was that on dottedboy's server? Good times! What ever happened to it?

How much of an abrupt change is it all for you from Ireland?

It was a massive change. Ireland got very boring, and I couldn't think of a more different place to go than Japan #ab{:P} I've been here 6 months now, so I'm very settled / adjusted.

It's still around, but also rather quiet; you can talk to Dotted about it if you'd like. The most obnoxious people have left a long time ago, but not too many people have filled the void.

Soon as I was over Don Quixote! !
Walk towards Ueno Akihabara, a central street,
Beyond the "Don Quixote"

Don Quixote? According to the website, Retro Game Camp is adjacent to a store sharing the name of a classic 17th century Spanish novel. Was something lost in translation here?

Other Submissions of mine!
Don Quijote (not sure why it's spelled like that) is a chain of stores in Japan that sell all sorts of crap like costumes, electronics, and tacky novelty items #ab{:P}

Yeah, I can confirm this: Ireland is very boring, especially when it comes to VG comps and so and so. I haven't found anyone at school my age that is into VGs, so if I ever go to Japan, whether just for a trip or to live there (a dream, you could say, since Japan is the best when it comes to working for some of the greatest VG companies of all time), I can't wait to be able to speak freely about VG all the time.

Also Pac, I know you said that a lot of Japanese people know English, but how hard is it to learn Japanese? I actually want to learn it for when/if I go there.

It's definitely more difficult than learning another European language like Spanish. A few phrases basic phrases are easy to learn and pronounce.

Beyond that, it's quite complicated, so if you're only coming for a quick holiday, it's not worth your time, but if you plan on coming long-term like me, then I totally recommend taking a good shot at learning it.

Crap, I'm having difficultly learning French, so going there long-term might not be possible. #ab{;_;} Thanks for your help anyway.

AAA, I really want to visit a store like that(or akihabara in general)

I'd probably just buy a SNES for novelty's sake, but just browsing the store would be fun ^-^

As for Supaboys, I just bought a PSP instead, which you can get for about the same price, and can emulate many consoles. Of course, it doesn't accept cartridges, but I can live with that =P

"Don Quijote" is how it's spelled in the original Spanish version, "El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha"

Well, since this got bumped anyway, I'll post. Pac is my new hero because we skyped and he went to this store just to get a game for me and ship it to me! (The game is Rhythm Tengoku, btw) #mlp{rd}
