Man takes own life on live TV

I saw this some days ago, and tought it was a little odd. But shit happens, and I think the anchorman cleared this up just the right way.
A man takes his life on TV, and that's an accident.

But one person shows a nipple at the superbowl, and that's destroying the innocence of American youth.

Yep.
Was it Victorian times or Plague times that showing nipples became indecent?

They're both pretty bad, neither should have been broadcast.

Neither seem really bad to me.
The death isn't something kids should experience, but what are they doing watching police stuff on TV anyways?

No, nipples are not bad. It's only society pretending that showing a natural part of the body will corrupt people or something.
I just love that uncensored Holocaust footage with thousands of starved bodies being bulldozed into pits is perfectly acceptable to show on TV but a short video of a man blowing his brains out has to be censored.

In all honesty, this doesn't surprise me. He looked to be either drunk or high, and saw no other way out; from his standpoint, death is the only escape.
It just kind of makes you think, you know? What if you were in his position? Could you feel the adrenaline rush and the stomachache of inescapable punishment?

Granted, people shouldn't be retarded and do crimes,
but the idea in general is disturbing for people like me who overanalyze it.

Not defending the guy, or saying he wasn't bad. Just...it's tough to think about, don't you think? Ending your own life in such a heated moment...

Saw this on Youtube, no big hassle. Budd Dwyer shot himself on live TV, so did a Spanish reporter, to me a suicide isn't as interesting as it probably used to be when such a thing was unheard of as it'd never past the telebroadcast board.
