Few problems:
-I'm not too sure abut the palette, perhaps make the FG more blue and the white spots need to be darker.
-A hole lot of clashing from my graphics to the FG graphics, doesn't look very good really.

Just fix these and its a very good level.

The World 2 Fortress. Those outlined blocks with a keyhole teleport you to another room when you bring a key to them.

I'd make a gradient out of those pink blocks. It just looks to soild right now. Other than that, looking pretty good!

... it's kinda odd though that you are the only one who is consistantly making and finishing levels (unless there are updates that are not being posted here).

That's because this isn't really a team hack anymore(aside from the contributions already made by the former members of course). Only eXcavator can change the thread title but anywho I've already discussed this with the other members of the team via PMs a month ago when it was clear that this hack was going to die I asked them if they'd be cool with me finishing the hack and they said they were fine with it. This hack is still going to feature the levels already completed by the other members who made levels(with the exception of Shadowfire) but the levels from here on out are gonna be made by me. However if there are those that still wanna do a level I certainly wouldn't turn down any levels that get sent to me for this project.

Alright two levels. First world 3 Haunted Abyss.






Second world 3 Haunted Bridge. With these two levels World 3 is now 100% COMPLETE!!!

The graphics are looking very nice, and so does the level design! Although I do think that the pipes in the first level do look odd.

Two levels finished today. First is a very vanilla-ish world 4 cave level.





The second is the world 2 Castle. This makes World 2 100% complete!

This is looking nice, but I'll post what I don't like in these

Haunted Abyss Looks really good OTHER THAN those... Crystal? pipes. Just doesn't seem to fit the level. By the way what sprites are those ghost trails?

Haunted Bridge No complaints here to be honest. Look really good! :)

Sky Fortress I have a few problems with this. First is the Cement Block in the pipe. Second is the horrid Pipe Palettes (In my oppinion, most of them are too saturated). Finally the Bullet Bill Cannon designs... Too many white lines.

World 2 Castle Problem with the Bullet Bill cannon design/palette and Bullet Bill palette itself. Also the random floating bridges creates some cutoff.

World 4 Cave Level Design looks great, but I don't like the idea with the Vanilla FG personally... mainly it doesn't seem to feel a same "style" as many of your other FG's (and FG's people used before this hack became no longer a team hack). If you could find a suitable FG GFX it would be a great level.

Well thats my one hundred and two cents. :)

So remember kids! If you ever get caught having tosave a princess from a foreign land after getting dragged down a drain pipe, jumping while spinning in a circle can help you greatly by allowing you to jump on spinning saw blades, ghosts, and allow you to control your jump better!

The ghost trails are horizontal and vertical only boo streams from one of YoshiCookieZues's C3 packs. I modified the CFG file so they don't interact with objects. The ones going vertically are generated by a custom sprite launcher at the bottom of the screen.

Yeah I still have to fix eXcavator's palettes for his sky background.

If the bullet bills and bullet bill shooters still look ugly with normal palettes maybe I'll have to scrap Daizo's redrawn bullet bill shooters/bullet bills.

Now for an actual update I have a World 5 swamp level to show-off. I'm using a tileset that Evilguy has used on a number of his levels.

The world 5 level is looking really nice so far, but the BG has a bad palette (the white colour...), make it grey instead and you should be fine =3

Another World 5 level with the same tileset now completes yet another world.






My next update is gonna be a world 4 hill level which will finish world 4 and then I'll be able to say the first 5 worlds of this hack are complete.

As promised the completion of world 4 with this grassy hill level.






In addition to this I've also completed a Pipe World water level. Also Daizo I know in advance that your pipes clash with the tileset but I still have yet to find alternate pipe graphics for the simpler tilesets in this hack.

I don't know. I just choose graphics that I think are going to best fit the idea I have for the level I'm working on so it's not like I in advance decided to make Lost in the Forest a hack with a lot of NES style graphics but I suppose it is possible that since I grew up with the NES I tend to favor simpler NES style tilesets over some of the more realistic looking ones.


Anywho I have another world 6 level to show off. The waterfall forest.
