Schedule and Results | Medal Count | TV Listings: USA, Canada, UK | Twitter | Facebook | YouTube

Thought I'd start a thread for the 2012 Olympics. Feel free to discuss anything related to the games here. :)
They really really shoild've put the 12 to the right of the 20. It looks like Lisa Simpson giving someone a blowjob
Let's milk Sunny Milk. Then she'll have enough money to fund Sunny Milk Real Estate.

In all seriousness I've never been into the Olympics that much, so let's hope American wins em all I guess. #pop{plain}

I hate you for making me stare at the logo for 5 minutes until I saw it.

Anyway, on the actual topic of the thread. Rooting for Spain. España all the way baby.

Well got free tickets for some of the community stuff I do in my area. Unfortunately I had to choose between one normal Olympics ticket or two Paralympic tickets so I choose to go to the Paralympics just to have some company.

I also saw the Olympic Torch when it was going down the my road. Their must be about 200-300 people just where I standing, I've never seen so many people by my house.

This seriously awesome, can't wait to be paying for this for the rest of my life.
I support Team USA as an American. Honestly, the Winter Olympics are more my thing (they have hockey), but I'll still be excited to watch USA Basketball dominate everyone else.

Not to call you out on this, but there is nothing bad about the Paralympics to you, right?

Anyway, on topic: Eh, I don't care too much. Never was into sport, although it is interesting that the Olympics are happening so close to our small and dinky island. Heck, judging from RTE ads, people here are pretty excitied; we have a lot of people going in, so people are hopeful that we might get some medals.

Although I agree with Suns, don't you think all of this money should be poured into something good, like say, fair trade?

Sorry I missed out the bit that the normal Olympics ticket was for the aquatics, which I would have preferred to watch.

Netherlands all the way. We do have a reputation to restore since the European Soccer Championship this year... Eh.

I've always followed the Summer Olympics closely, and I will do the same this year. More my thing than the Winter Olympics.

This. Dutchie power activate!
It would just be wrong for me not to cheer for anything then Canada.

So....go Canada! wooo.....~
Later.
I never watch the Olympics =/ Everyone is like "OMG the Olympics are on!!", and I just go drink a little, and play zombies. I mean I use to watch the Olympics when I was younger, but now... I dunno, just not very interesting.

I'm sort of like Camoslash. Sure, I watched the opening ceremony this year, but... I'm not interested in the events.

Anyway, go team Ireland, I guess? It'd be nice for us to at least win one medal... (although I want Japan to win some too <3)

I live in England, and I would have totally forgotten about the Olympics if people hadn't taken to commentating through the whole opening ceremony on Facebook. Why must my friends lack wit? Why?! Anyway, you can hardly blame me because I live up North and it has been what feels like years since the torch was trotted through.

Go Eagles!
I had heard that only McDonalds is allowed to sell Chips (what we call Fries in the UK) in the Olympic Stadium. So I Googled this and came across this picture on Twitter:

I think this is just completely FUCKING DISGUSTING! #w{>=(}
All these companies seem to care about is making money and not about the sports at all.
I don't care about the Olympics at all, but go Holland I guess...
Ryan Lochte, swimmer, scored the first gold medal for the Yankees.
Your layout has been removed...NOT! :D
Our (Israel) team is interesting... The less favorite sportsman succeed (Alex Shatilov in gym, at least in the 1st competition), but the favorite ones lost (Shahar Peer in Tennis, she had a good chance to win)... I'm following after every competition in these Olympics! So, Go Israel! :)
