Side Scrolling pipes problem

i used the smb3/ssp patch, and when i go in the pipes, i come out behind the graphics. (exactly what happens when you hold down on the white platform in SMB3. anyone know how to fix this?)
Sorry i can't help you but ive got EXACLY the same problem...

Please support my hack. :D
Did you add exit tiles?

No exit tiles come with this patch at least i don't think they do im using the SMB3+SSP patch the file is called pipeinstall and the program pipeinstall.exe.

Please support my hack. :D
Ive got the same problem, I enter a pipe and instantly reappear at the top corner..... :(

Did you do the thing with the hexediting?

Here's the instructions from the original pipe install readme:

Code
7-Write these to the specified offsets
--------------------------------------
*This step for people who DO NOT yet*
**have custom blocks in their hack**
At x37890:EA EA EA EA 22 40 80 xx:
At x378A0:EA EA EA EA 22 80 80 xx:
At x378B0:EA EA EA EA 22 C0 80 xx:
--------------------------------------
*This step for people who DO already*
**have custom blocks in their hack**
At x37894:22 40 80 xx:
At x378A4:22 80 80 xx:
At x378B4:22 C0 80 xx:
--------------------------------------
In both cases, xx refres to the bank
in were you put the ASM data. For
example, mine is at x98200, so it is
(98200-200)/8000=*13*
8-Save and give a little test run if
 you please! :)

If you used the installer for the pipes correctly, it should say what bank the pipes use.
Hope that helps.
NAT: I think the exit tiles do come with the patch, but you need the dsc file to show where they are located. I can't get mine to work correctly when I moved the files from the screenscrolling pipes file, so you're on your own there.

First of all f you download the NEW pipeinstall youll see that it clearly says NO HEX EDITING NEEDED (thats the whole point of the pipeinstall.exe) second of all the fact that you mentiond the .dsc file brings me to another question: if you already have custom blocks installed how can you use the pipe dsc? (sinnce the pipe one overwrites the block one)

Please support my hack. :D
...I still had to do the hexediting thing. I think I used an older one.
For the .dsc, I think you can open it up in a text editor and paste the info you want for the blocks. I'm not sure though.

I did NO hex editing. I thought using pipeinstall meant I didn't need to.

If the pipeinstall doesn't work, can someone show me a more user friendly, more precise guide to installing the pipes? The readme for them is quite hard to understand for someone who hasn't done much of this stuff before. I'd really prefer a guide that tells you how to do each step.
I'm having the same problem too! I added music to a Rom, but now I want the same levels into it too. I'm pissed because:
1:I can't insert s.s.pipes anymore! Or can I?
2:My ExGFX is GLITCHED!
3:My Map16 pages are GLITCHED!
4:I need a life.
and...
5:I still need a life.
