@TOS: Why thank you.

@Cheat-Master30: Its not really eye pleasing, but none of the less, very basic.

@MaxodeX: That's a very nice little vanilla-ish cut-scene!

@DragonFire6780: I hear lots about you, welcome back, also the grassland is very nice.

I've released the Mega Man 7 Shade Man Stage Graphics for all to use, please give credit :)

The dirt was actually ripped and edited from SMB2.

This looks very nice :D

It's from a Master System game, a system which is pretty much NES level in terms of power. So yes, it's definitely basic for that reason alone.

But your Shade Man gfx look nice. Maybe you should try ripping the backgrounds next.

As for Mario's Nightmare Quest? Well, it's currently on Fusion Gameworks, ROM Hacking.net or the GCN at the moment.

Max: very sexy cutscene you've got there! The only thing bothering me is the little high dot before the first letter of the text. Otherwise, neat idea. Good luck with the rest of your stuff~

DF: oooh I always loved your graphics man! This set looks very neat too. The only thing bothering me a bit is the dirt though. I know it's ripped, but perhaps you could edit it a bit: it looks a tad too busy if you ask me. The lightest part of the grass shading could also look a little bit better. Otherwise, loving this.

I've pretty much used 6 palette slots, if I add a BG, its going to ruin the states bar palettes AND It uses 5 graphics slots, so unless I knew how to use the ExGFX Revolution Patch Set, I don't think so sadly |-O

A few screenshots of an oasis level I recently finished. Went for a sort of beach/desert mix in terms of the aesthetics, but Raisin Ruins 2 from Kirby's Return to Dreamland was a big source of inspiration for this level.

With that said, enjoy! #w{:>}

@Karatekid5
Wow, this looks awesmazing! I especially like the graphics and the leveldesign. Keep up the good work ^^
@Karatekid5 I'm agreeing with Mr. Deppelman. Looks great and looks like it would play great too!

I have something to show of my own as well. This for the second JDCGames collab...

Those slanted pipe tops are just decor. you walk through them, they act as blank tiles. Also, you can walk through the grass edges so you can access the other paths. I know those abstract designs in the dirt are typically disliked but I just really like the look of it.

A tad simple, could use something more than a grainy texture, maybe not make the grass look like sauce poured on but more like blades of grass...
Still, there are many grass tilesets, and posibilities are running low...

@DragonFire6780

Hey nice graphics! i like the texture of earth! :D nice job

@Karatekid5

Not bad i like your graphics :D!

xlk watch out a expert of graphic here!
Yes, very nice graphics indeed. Oh, I got a few things while I'm here. I don't know why, but I barely see any hacks with custom pathed Creating/Eating Blocks. I have about three already...

This is the first GFX I made by myself, what do you think?

Yea, 2nd screenshot is just to show as much as I could from what I've made. I'm not going to use that in my real level :P

Looks like we both made Oasis's! :P

Either way, the level is looking very nice so far! Though, I'd change the upper sky color, as the white looks a bit odd. Keep up the great work!

Didn't The Crater use custom paths for the creating/eating blocks in Hunter's Cyber Castle?

As for the screens, the level is looking very nice, and I like the creepy and dark feel you gave the interior background. Though, the foreground coloring is a bit light, so darkening it a bit would help add to the mood of the level.

By the way, when you said the previous screens were inside a womb, are they
Inside that orange orb/egg that Scorpion, Hunter, and Sputnik found in the level "Disturbing Evil" in The Crater?

I'd add an extra shade of brown and an extra shade of green into it to help out the shading effects, but other than that, you did a great job with this tileset! I especially like the shading style you used with the trees.

I can answer this one.

Actually, that area is where that Egg is. It is in "The Place" (From Earthbound), or as it is in the D4C, a "Before Time Began" like place. The womb is actually the Crystal Mountain from "The Crater".

A tad flat for my tastes, but it has potential
1: shape the slopes to fit better together with the wavy ground grass.
2: Make some more details/ decorations for the dirt, it makes a clear pattern as it is now.
3: the trees could always get some more bushes, they seem kinda small.

Lovely work on those! I like that "angry block" dude the most, great face expression. Second best got to be those flying beetles with propellers, I just love the shading on the white shell edge.

Overall, really cool stuff!
Here is an OW I'm working on. I like they way it is coming out as I don't have much experience in designing OWs.

opinions and tips?

I like it, actually. The colors are pretty damn nice and the design isn't too shabby either. Although, one thing you should probably do is put those corner tiles around the areas where the ground hits the water, like you did with the land. Hard to describe without a picture, but whatever you'll figure it out.

Yeah man, thanks so much for drawing these for me! They really are looking absolutely stunning! I just love your drawing style; it's really appealing and beautifully shaded.

Jonny: definitely not a bad overworld you got there. It's a little blocky and doesn't have much variation in height or cliffs that much, and it's pretty simple, but it does the job. The palettes are nice too. But you should really change the snow world palette: it burns a lot. >:
Keep it up.
e: is that for the OW contest, by the way?
Ludus: Look awesome as always dude! Seriously man. The propeller beetles, darn that's creative!

Johnny: I like the design very much. Although it aint super fancy I like it a lot. The palettes remind me of the special world palettes which is cool. I really like the snow palette so I'd say keep it :3
