C3 2012: Your Favorites

hey dudes. so C3 is wrapping up at this point and i think it's actually the most successful C3 i've been a part of since spring of 2009. so i have a little list of things i was really excited to see, and i think after you read mine you should post your own. cool? cool. keep in mind that there are plenty of things not on this list that certainly are impressive or cool lookin' or whatever, but these are just things i personally got really giddy about seeing.

Lynnes's two demos of Vanilla and Fawful's Revenge
lynnes is great at making tired old smw graphics look new again. that, and everything he touches turns to gold, just sayin'. so when i realized i could play these things that i'd been pining over for months, i got all looney, which is definitely a sign that you made something good.

Hadron's new previews for Big Boo's Legion 2
i've been a fan of hadron for quite some time and if you know how long and how hard he has been working on this hack then you know that there is truly genuine craft in it. the train level just set the bar for heavily involved story filled hacks and really made me even more excited to see a release.

Noobish Noobsicle's updates for the 2 Player co-op Sprite
i've been following the 2 player co-op sprite since it's inception and it has come a hell of a long way. this time around noobish dropped us a kony sized video full of all the perks and quirks of the most recent version of this new hacking advancement.

Sonikku's C3 Stuff™
not much to say here, sonikku is just a really awesome dude. and any time he releases something i get excited. there you go.

TRS's [title] demo 2
i'm surprised more people aren't on this hack. it's really fun and enjoyably simplistic. it puts a new spin on the old mario formula and does a damn good job of it if you ask me.

S.N.N.'s level sampler for Gimmick
this is now one of the most anticipated hacks for me. i wasn't expecting much at first, but finally getting a taste i realized S.N.N. has come a long way since 2007. now i'm super hyped about a future release.

FirePhoenix's Probable Non-Committance sampler
i'm a huge fan of FP's 2007 hack, The Forever Mystery, and seeing that he is finally at work on something new got my heart racing. everything is super fun and bubbly. anyone can dig on a lighthearted hack like this.

FPI's TSRP2R trailer
i mean come on, how could you not include this? perhaps the most classic series in hacking history is The Second Reality Project. a series spanning different universes of the mario mythology. add that to levels that FPI spends years perfecting and you just gotta love it. the very definition of classic.

The first thread I went to was Sonikku's. But then I was disappointed that there wasn't any Cave Story stuff.
I enjoyed the trailer for the TSRP2 remake, Jimmy52905's Yoshi Player Patch, and Riolu180's Extra Mario World concept.
