Hmmm... I have new songs.

This link leads you to the teaser trailer of my current project: Blind Devil's Trip Back in Time.

Hi there.

C3 is over, I know, but this post got a heavy editing to explain better details about this project.

The video links below basically show off very old levels of mine that were never released. They come from canceled hacks (one that never had even a demo release, from 2008, and unnamed; other from Super Mario's Legend, canceled through 2010, 2011).

Okay.

What I am planning: to remake all these levels, plus Mirage Fortress (Choco 2010), Misty Horizon (Vanilla 2011) and Slaughterhouse (Vanilla 2012), with a new look - new graphics and stuff.

1. Goonie Trip (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
2. Busters' Hideout (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
3. Volcano Cliff (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
4. P-Switched Passage (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
5. Fiery Fortress (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
6. Panser's Pits (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
7. Red Crystal Mines (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
8. Underlava Castle (unreleased level from Super Mario's Legend)
9. A Garbage from the Past (various unreleased levels from an 2008 unnamed hack)
10. Forgotten Rocky Hills 7 (unreleased level from an 2008 unnamed hack)

Yep. I guess this is it.

Welp, I have another post a few steps below with some screenshots of the new versions of some levels. Feel free to take a look at them.

EDIT: Basically the whole post has been edited.

you are one of the only members who registered from 2010 onward that i really like. all this work here is of supreme quality. i don't know how far your progression is going to be considering it sounds like your not doing much solo hack work currently. though i look forward to just about anything with the blind devil tag on it, so this thread is definitely a plus for me.
Reposting cheat. and Thread Title Trolling, too.

But please, take a look to these pics. With anger and hatred.

This had to be done. Because right now it's the only disponible time I have to make this post. And the only chice I had to get your attention.

Hey, people, answer me:

Do I exist for you?

Do you think I'm just another one? Or worse, nothing at all?

Now it's very clear. I am way TOO MUCH UNDERRATED. Good to know, I'll be stopping with SMW hacking with no regrets, then.

If you want to look at it, the teaser trailer video of my project, then go ahead and look, then give feedback. Else, FUCK YOU. And farewell.

Depending on the feedback (I mean having no feedback at all), I might give up RIGHT NOW. I don't want to put effort on things for nothing, 'cause major part of people throughout here know, that I AM BETTER THAN THEM. IN FACT (yes, I'm very angry). Why I am affirmating this: because nobody is like me. I can make levels, draw and port very well, and I know basic/intermediate ASM. I didn't see hacks on SMWC or any other place that are purely original (with self-made GFX, ASM codes and custom compositions together), just like my demos are.

That's what Blind Devil's Trip Back in Time is supposed to be. An extremely original and unique-featured hack. Underrate me however you want; I know, and you know, too: I am better than you. Not best of the best, but better than you. Keep hating me.

Uh, Blind Devil, please, stop being so angry (I honestly don't want you to turn into something you actually wouldn't want to, so please), although I admit I can understand your bitterness. It's true, threads with far less content got much more comments and feedback. I can't always tell what's going to "decide" if a thread will be popular or not.

But - now looking away from your angriness, and if you believe it or not - I feel kind of bad for not posting in this thread now, although it doesn't mean that your "rant" was completely necessary. But I think you deserve at least a good long feedback post from me (and please, for the love of god, don't stop it just because you didn't get feedback once or twice). You pretty much know we don't hate you at all, and most people wouldn't like you to leave, so don't talk rubbish.

Let's see the pictures.

Screenshot 1: I quite like the look of that. Happy grassland, fancy HDMA in the background, and cool looking level design elements.

Screenshot 2: Seems like the end of a forest level? Either way, I like the HDMA gradient here as well.

Screenshot 3: Are those red coins like in Yoshi's Island? Also, I see you mixed some grassland and cave graphics in a cave level, I like that.

Screenshot 4: Hah, that background is just funky. I really like the rock "background" on layer 1, and as I see, you actually cared to prevent cutoff with water, I like that (not too many people do that, unfortunately).

Screenshot 5: I can't see it completely, but I guess there's an interesting perspective in the BG. Also, huge pipes!

Screenshot 6: Not too much to comment, but I like the palettes and the graphics overall.

Screenshot 7: Nice sunset HDMA! Also, more huge pipes :)

Screenshot 8: Whoa, amazing graphics there. Did you draw them yourself? Nice little mix there with the rock background on layer 1.

Screenshot 9: I dunno, but those red blocks seem to be a bit out-of-place for me, but maybe I'm just too nitpicky. I like the background, though, for some reason it reminds me on Super Mario TKO's cave levels.

Screenshot 10: I think I see a redrawn Nipper Plant (or whatever is it called)? I like the FG, fits really well to a volcano.

I think if you would've added screenshots for the first time, maybe there would've been more feedback, but who knows. You know, just a few links to videos don't interest that many people, when there are hundreds of other threads around (and everything goes, like, super fast). This is the only real suggestion I can give to you right now.

Oh, and I might watch the actual videos later, and I think I'll comment on the YouTube page then.
I watched the trailer and all I can say is wow. I am looking forward to this hack for sure! Everything looks awesome!
Stuff happens sometimes. Heck, I wish I had more feedback with my hacks and stuff and I never complain. What surprises me more is how little feedback you got. I thought you were one of the more famous members here.

And so I look at the screenshots and videos not with anger, but with amazement. Overall, your level design reminds me of Anikiti's "Luigi's Adventure" but better. This hack is going on my wait list now.

You hear dice being thrown...
My SMW ROMhack: Super Market Roll Drums is active once again!
Second 2014 C3 Demo Here ([thread] [demo])
Lunatic Lolo, an Adventures of Lolo 2 hack: 20/54 Levels ([C3 thread] [demo])
Calm down... no one is underrating you. I think you're overreacting a bit. It sucks when your work doesn't get as much attention as you feel it deserves; trust me, I can relate. I've done a lot that I consider to be pretty great: ASM, custom music, etc. Yet I feel like I'm underrated as well. (Even if that does make me sound a bit conceited >.>) However, giving up because people don't feedback your work isn't really the best way to handle it, in my opinion. In fact, to be honest, it makes you look like you're desperate for attention, which isn't a good quality to have. Don't worry what other people think of your work, do it because you have fun, it's nothing that you need to get worked up about.

Anyway, the videos and screenshots of your hack that you posted look pretty neat. I think the blend of vanilla and new graphics is pretty interesting, and it works well here. It's also not often that a hack has a completely original soundtrack. It takes a lot to impress me with an SMW hack, and a custom soundtrack is one of the few things that does. So I'll definitely be looking forward to this. Just don't give up.
Hey man, don't get so worked up over this stuff! I'm sure people just missed the thread!

Anyways, your hack looks like it's progressing pretty nicely. Did you draw all of those graphics yourself? The hack looks really vibrant, and very impressive! It's a shame people missed this thread, but I hope you decide to go through with this hack! It looks pretty fun.

.. and remember, the whole purpose of rom hacking is to have fun! Cheer up!
Wait wait, this is all an elaborate prank, right? I mean, Blind Devil has been a really respectable guy whom people have praised from the get-go. Even the stuff shown here is good, minus a few iffy graphics in the screenshots (bricks with the white lines immediately jump out).

Surely this is just being played up for C3 - otherwise, I think I just lost a lot of respect for you.
Still able to post here... oh, great. Now I really must try explaining myself.

Thank you all for showing your satisfaction. I know I am not pleasing the whole world (that's impossible), but at least the ones I please are enough to make me feel better.

If I don't agree with that, then my place is not here. (it's not intended to offend anyone)

I know feedback is not necessary as long people take a look, at least.

Maybe I don't get a lot of feedback/views because I don't give feedback at all? We'll never know.

Anyway, thanks for your consideration and for giving me will to proceed, too.

If I say that I'm not, and I'll never be, then I'm just underrating myself... I cannot pronnounce myself...

@Hadron: you were not the only one to think that, heh. I'll change them to something else (either draw another kind of GFX or replace with the ground ledges).

@S.N.N.: This is going to be somewhat impossible to explain...

Uh... this wasn't a prank. I was really at my boiling point, because I was nervous. But it wasn't even related to the poor feedback: when I've logged in to post (it was Saturday, if I am not wrong), the same day my band was about to play in a small concert. I was having troubles with my mother and a specific member of the band, but I've ended up discounting all my rage into this thread.
And I was worried, feeling like a loser, too, just for not being able to release the hack this C3. And it rolled down like a snowball. I am sorry for disappointing you... Now I deserve a trophy for being the "Most changed for the worst", yeah! Hope now I can win a gold one, because gold trophies are the only ones I don't have, lol.

I deserved that. I've given you a considerable reason for that, and there's no way I can make you to change your mind... we cannot turn back the clock.

--------------------

Back on topic, I've edited the first post, explaining better the essence of this project. I wish I could edit the title thread, too, but I'm unable to do that now... I would just write "Blind Devil's Trip Back in Time" there. If a staff can make this favor, I'll be thankful.

Also, I want to say that I'm not rushing to finish this hack. I'm slowly progressing on it (I still have to draw more GFX sets, that, by the way, every GFX seen on screenshots above are made by me, and to compose the soundtrack, as I did not even start composing).

Wish me good luck to achieve my goal: of finishing a hack. Because since I've started, I could never finish one.
