Here is something I started early this year that I never thought I would actually get too far into. It hasn't got a name yet, but it is technically a successor to SMW. At its core, this hack is going for a mix between some of the best parts of SMB3 and SMW into one. It's going to share a non clashing graphical style among both SMW and SMB3 graphic sets. There will be gimmicks and themes from both, and the level design will share many elements from both.
This is not just a mashup though, this will be a unique hack with its own story and brand new elements as well. I might reveal the story later though, for it's not fully developed.
I am quite open to suggestion and critique. So if you think something should be changed, look better, or whatever, please don't be shy.
Screenshots
Mario will be revisiting Grassland, though of course, it will not be all the same.
Images from one of the earlier worlds Mario will explore: the Caramel Taiga.
A vertical cave with a glorious, clean looking, screen wrap system.
Doomships are a big part of this game, but not for the reason people will expect.
Bonus game room and Switch Palace. Simple.
I realize that the screens are large. Larger than I expected, so the rest are below.
Additional Screens
Coinship 1
Coinship 2
Coinship 3
Coinship 4
Coinship 5
Level Exit 1
Level Exit 2
I will do my best to answer all question, suggestions, or general concerns. Thanks SMWC! And hail System!
Projects:
- Game Night - Mario Party 3 Game Board
- 3+World (Cancelled - Download Available)
- Super Mario World Beta (2009)
