Super Seamus World 3 Hard Kaizo

Kaizo

I just finished a hack that was built on on the complaints of super seamus world 2. Overworld is the same, but the levels are much harder. I wont make the mistake again of saying it is the hardest hack you will play because it probably isnt. It is very challenging though. The hack contains many glitches including key jumps, shell jumps, big spin jumping through floor, P switch dupicating, etc. Even a level with a wall jump. (dont say i didnt warn you. I am looking for either an LP or TAS for youtube. My youtube name is MikeyMike8969.

This is part of a level that requires a p switch to be duplicated as you freefall, and 2 other glitches. In the first pic a p switch is already active so when it runs out you must quickly copy the other one.
So you are REQUIRING the player to carry an item on Yoshi? Not everyone can do that. Also, FLOATING STACKED MUNCHERS!
Not everyone can wall jump either. Is this intended to be a pit hack or just dancing on the hard Kaizo/pit line? IMO, wall jumps have no place in a non-pit hack. That's one thing that I think would ruin my experience with Random's Retarded Quest.

It's actually quite easy (unless the sprite's properties make it impossible, in which case it is... impossible). Also I already think I see some breaks. And fix the patch please.

On another note: I agree with soko. Walljumps are really annoying to do without slowdown and do not belong in Kaizo hacks.

Carrying an item on yoshi is easy, and the walljump part isnt that hard because you have a huge amount of space to run on. I did in on my first try without slowdown. Those munchers are only to keep from walljumping that part they are not throughout the game. Also the patch should be fixed. Idk why but sometimes the patch just turns out shitty....hopefully its ok now.

Also not every level has glitches, some levels are just classic go from point a to point b, and not die. Also not custom sprites and objects because i wanted to stick to how the original kaizo was.
I have beaten up to "Solid Ground", and let me be the first to tell you: this hack is horrible. Terrible. Really, really poor.

There are stacked munchers everywhere. There is cutoff all over the place. Keyjumping is required close to continuously. Most of the traps are rather old and not creative. Your spelling is horrible (which is probably intentional, but that only makes it worse). All levels have only a single gimmick. Your level names contain offensive language.

Well, I suppose I could try to put in some effort and make a list of all the things you should change, but if you did I doubt there'd be much of the hack left. On a scale of 0 to 10, where 10 is mildly amusing and 1 is a complete rip-off, I'd rate this a solid 0. Absolutely horrible.

Wow well im glad you enjoy the hack so much. Anyway i will say that the game gets progressively harder after the level called good luck. As much as i liked ur hate comment, i do appreciate the feedback and im glad the link now works. If you continue to play the hack let me know what you think even if you hate it. I hope it grows on you....I will agree that i did save my original ideas for some of the harder levels later. I also do a tribute to kaiz in i believe the 2nd castle. you will see it. I took a kaizo original and changed some of the level 2 settings to make it how i believe it should have been.
I'm going to have to agree with Sadistic on this one. It's at the same level as your previous hacks - you haven't made any improvements whatsoever.
Seamus 2 had cutoff and sprite overload problems. This hack has no cutoff and there are barely any enemies except in the 2nd level. Most levels have no enemies at all. This hack is almost all environmental challenges. Every complaint i got from number 2 i did change. If you are more specific as to why u dont like this then it will help if i fix it. All i ask if for constructive criticism.

You still have the terrible-looking floating/stacked munchers, and you still insist on being vulgar at every corner. I suggest you actually reread this thread and actually try avoiding some of the glaring flaws pointed out by Alexander and everybody else.
The vulgar thing is an inside joke between myself and a friend so im not going to change that, besides that doesnt effect gameplay. As far as the stacked munchers go, i dont get how stacked death blocks are any better but people are ok with that. I dont like using custom objects or sprites. I dont see the difference. I took out floating munchers which i kno are annoying....except 2 of them in a single level

Stacked death blocks are slightly better, but still not good. Since the player's never going to be reaching the entire inside of the death block block, you can just hollow it out and fill it with something else, like ledges.

Take a look at how some other hacks do it, by attaching munchers to vines to have a reason for them to be floating, or attaching them to ledges. Much better than attaching them to the mouth of another muncher, it's like something out of the Human Centipede, only with plants.
The Muncher Centipede, eh? Sounds like an idea for a hack. :P
Just kidding, don't do that.

If it's an inside joke, then keep it between you and him. It really turns people off of your hack.

I WANNA DO THAT!
Might not bother playing it since the part where you mentioned the wall jump kinda discouraged me (do not know the math behind wall jumping, so it's a simple, yet annoying process of trial and error). Then again I might, just out of curiosity.

I think the walljump was actually intended to be done on the first level. Obviously I broke it since I couldn't be bothered to walljump.

As for the statement that there is no more cutoff: this is not true. Quite a lot of cutoff can be found in the hack, such as ropes ending in mid-air, corner tiles being of the wrong sort, ropes ending in dirt corner tiles. Oh and I forgot to mention in my last post: using the bottom row of LM is a bad idea (bad I say, not creative), and using grey cement blocks everywhere is rather ugly as well. Try using the dirt tiles like Thomas said.

Edit: I have beaten everything up to 2Good2Change..TRIB, and I'm getting really pissed off. Not only have keyjumps become more and more frequent over the last level, also you did not test 2Good2Change..TRIB. In fact you DID change the level "2Good2Change" since the last time I saw it, you managed to screw up the layer 2 settings. Making the level impossible. Which you would've seen immediately during testing.

So yeah...
Of course you should fight fire with fire, you should fight everything with fire.

U dont have to wall jump in the first level...and i did change it. I change the level 2 to change based on marios y position and i did test it many times. It is very possible I have beaten it it a couple dozen times. I test all my levels a couple dozen times. When mario falls off on that part his y position changes so does the layer 2. U have to take that into account. Anyway you didnt break the first level if you didnt walljump because walljumping isnt required on the first level. You can use bullet bills and shelljumping
I used Yoshi and springboarding.
