I'm on spring break and I really want a new game to play. I want something weird, trippy and over the top though. I've played and finished the Mother Series (besides EB Zero) and those definitely did it for me. However I need something new. It doesn't necessarily need to be an RPG, but that is preferred.
So...Any suggestions?

I could possibly recommend 3 games of varying types;

If you want an interesting RPG, i would say The world ends with you is a good choice. It's more of an action RPG, a great crazy story, and is somewhat lengthy.

If you want a game where you can just mess around in (i guess like gta/scroll games), you could try Prototype; this is one of the most bloodiest games I have ever played, and i'm soooooooo glad that i have. It's a superhero kind of game, but your hero has hundred of ways of killing everyone and everything.

And for a last, some what weird game i could recommend is the Binding of Issac. It's set up to play like the old Legend of Zelda game dungeons, and the play-ability is great since you will never find everything within the first 5 playthoughs alone. (This is the hardest among the three games that i have mentioned)

....oh, and i always recommend Yume Nikki, even if it has nothing to do with what we're talking about, so that's actually 4 games i could recommend that get somewhat weird.
I actually recently went out and bought a couple of games I used to have: Super Mario Sunshine and WarioWorld.

When I was younger, I thought SMS to be a less than good game, but I rediscovered the urge to play it again recently and bought it again, and I'm having a much, much better time now. I wonder why I ever thought SMS was a bad game...

Hmm...try the dreaded Pachinko machine and the storm drain lily pad ride of doom...among other things. :P

WarioWorld I wasn't really looking for as much, but I remembered how crazy fun that game was, and it still is.

Now, if only I could find Banjo-Tooie and Conker...

I'm probably retired tbh
I'm never playing Minecraft again. Installing Buildcraft has just driven me mad. I might might retaliate personally against the creator somehow...

EDIT: Okay, I've decided I won't quit if the problem's fixed. If it can be fixed...

finally cracked all hard 1cc's of all touhou shooters, with UFO being the last one. took me unusually longer than the rest of the games (go figure) but i finally managed to beat it.

guess i can start the lunatics now, probably doing IN first because it's the easiest, got some experience with it already. :V
WarioWorld was one of, if not the best beat-em-up I've ever played. Nothing's more fun than taking an enemy and then swinging it around to kill a bunch of other enemies, and then tossing your improvised weapon aside as it explodes into a flurry of coins. The other moves are fun as well, and the puzzles to get the crystals are pretty fun.
I've been playing a few games lately.

1) Super Mario Sunshine- I still dislike some parts of it but I've gotten a newfound appreciation for the game. It doesn't hold your hand like galaxy.

2) Etrian Odyssey- A dungeon crawler, so one should expect difficulty. Hard to even traverse the second floor, without a party member dying (reviving isn't cheap). I really like the dangerous exploration sense, and the mechanics. Skill points allow for some customization, and you can have many guild members despite only having 5 in a party. The store's available equipment being expanded when you sell items (which are drops that make sense like hide and insect eyes) is a nice touch imo. Looking forward to actually making progress.

3) Tales of Symphonia- Anime as a game could possibly be. Interpret that as you wish. Starting out kinda slow I suppose. Bosses seem rather difficult compared to the cannon fodder. I'm not entirely used to the battle system yet. The game reminds me a bit of kingdom hearts, only with relavent skills and party members that are actually useful. Systems for creating equipment are always something I appreciate, and the skill system is at least interesting. I'll try to give it a shot. (I'd kind of like to play the undub if only to hear voices in the "skits")
I've realized this was outdated.
Tried a Rhythm Heaven ROM - note that playing it on an underpowered computer makes it pretty dang hard

Been getting back into my 3DS lately. Finally got 3 Star Ranking on all cups. I'd say the Cloud 9, Roller and Parasol are a great mix for Lakitu. ^.^

If I could get a prepaid 3DS card I'd buy Pushmo!
Strange that I get no responses...

Okay, does anyone know what it means in Touhou if the games suddenly start holding down Fire and (except in PoFV)Focus constantly to the point where using the menus is impossible? And also why the fighting games simply crash on startup?

I just beat Knautilus (final boss #2) in DKC3 so I guess there's nothing else left to do on this save file except get all the DK coins, free all the rest of the banana birds, and figure out that stupid Bear riddle in Kaos Kore (the one where I have to figure eight in the lake).

I've been playing Recettear a fair bit.

Basically you run a item shop, and you sell items, haggle, explore dungeons and buy from other stores and that and have to reach weekly debts.

Pretty awesome.
Just finished playing through Tales of Symphonia, and I absolutely love that game.

Started out slow as hell but once I was about 10 hours in it picked up at a pretty great pace. The characters/story/environment in the very beginning were boring as heck (they throw you in a bland desert on a quest to break a set number of seals to "regenerate the world"). But I really can't stress how much I loved everything about the game after that point ~10 hours in. Kind of reminds me of Tales of the Abyss in that sense, since I thought of that game as being slow for the first 10 hours as well, but skyrocketed in fun after a certain point.

Took me about a month to beat it, but that was mostly because those first 10 hours were spread out over the course of about 4 weeks. Did everything after that point in like 5 days.

Also loved the dungeons in ToS. Especially compared to the ones in Tales of the Abyss; ToS's were leagues above those ones. Aside from maybe two or three, all of them had a good level of puzzle solving and exploration, to the point where it actually felt good to get through them. I'd usually enter a dungeon for the first time, see a bunch of puzzles and branching paths and think "oh god this is going to be a pain to get through", but once you start to look around and figure things out, they turn out to be more than doable.

Apparently my laptop isn't all that bad at emulating PS2 games so as of late I've been playing SMT: Nocturne and Persona 3.
Persona 3's difficulty isn't much to speak of but I'm only like 6 hours into it. Early game gale slash is a pretty big game breaker.
I haven't played much of Nocturne and the whole time I've been playing it I've had no idea where I'm going or what I'm supposed to do. It's still pretty neat though.
Demos for Rayman Origins(apparently only in Europe) and Kingdom Hearts 3D are coming out for the 3DS. Rayman on Thursday, and Kingdom Hearts when ever they fucken decide to do it...

Intresting how they keep using pictures of TWEWY in the game, yet no commercials really show that part of the game...
Just out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of the world map in Lufia II? I've always wondered...

I rarely complete games unless they are very short. I think I've beaten the original New Super mario bros, Saints row the third, Driver San Francisco, Super mario bros and Super mario World, and I've never 100% completed a game.

Is this the case with anyone else?
I usually complete games story-wise but not sidemissions and other miscellaneous things that contribute to an overall 100%. Simple games like Mario platformers don't have a lot of side stuff (if any at all) to complete to beat it entirely. Most of the games nowadays though have too much going on that have to be fulfilled to achieve a full percentage, often including ridiculous tasks (100 pigeons in GTA IV, anybody?). But as long as I see everything important in a game, I don't really care.

So, yesterday I achieved my third Lunatic 1cc in Touhou. That includes Subterranean Animism, Ten Desires and Mountain of Faith now. And I got a TH10 Extra no-death run today, capturing every spell apart from Suwako's survivals, which I still suck at. =( I can't complain though! How can a series be this addictive?
Just got a beta key for Torchlight 2 :3

Welp, this might leave a mark on my exam grades XD
After my bday last friday, I got a few new games.

Wii:

Kirby Adventure Wii: Great Game with a lot to do. It may be "easy" but 100% it will be tough. Still on the main mode and can't wait till extra mode and the arena's.

3DS:

Downloaded some new titles, giving my 3DS more purpose other than SM3DL and MK7.

Pullblox: Amazing as it's so addictive yet hard. My GF had to beat a few puzzles for me. Making your own is great to.

Kirby Adventure 3D: Nice remake of the NES version. With some fancier GFX, Good on the go game!

Donkey Kong GB: I love this game. Puzzle/Platformers rock. Not to mention the challenge and length! (101 levels)
