More one screenshot of my hack. I used the block of "Multiple coins" for do block duplication. Is more faster, no?

Hell of Pain - My hack

What I have made of level 3 in Holy Scheisse so far:
First area. This part is not 100% tested for being possible, but I think it's a great idea on paper.
Second area. I just placed random sprites near the far end of the level like I tend to do from time to time if I think I might have a use for them later. Mario will have to bump his head on the on/off block and land back on Yoshi and then jump back onto the platform. I was thinking about shell juggling while dodging saws.
I pretty much have the hacking equivalent of writer's block right now. I don't want any custom blocks or custom sprites, and I was thinking of drawing inspiration from the penultimate stage in Kaizo 2 and that one part of Yoshi Abuse from MMD (the section with the glass blocks). I can't believe I'm asking this, but any suggestions?

The first area is completely possible (and the berry is not needed). Won't the second platform fall down, so the yoshi isn't needed either?

In the second room you will want to watch out for players doing things like ignoring the On/Off block (or temporarily ignoring it and coming back later to hit it with a shell). Also I don't really like the first room since it's practically nothing more than the second screen of my Shell Puzzle...

Oh and there's cutoff ;) (obviously at this point the looks aren't important just yet)

I think there's a lot more new traps to be found if you combine Yoshi and line-riding, but I guess that'd almost make it a puzzle level. I'm afraid I can't offer you any suggestions...

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about that room to begin with, but at the same time I kinda liked it. I just needed some confirmation (should prolly have asked permission first but w/e). I don't intend to infringe on any copyright. I think I will scrap that room and try something else, especially if it's uncreative (shell jumping may not be that creative to begin with). That should hopefully make testing somewhat smoother. Level 4 will maybe be a puzzle level inspired by Super Trick World 2 by Oppossum.

This is a trap from a random level I have. My own idea!



This is the first level, and the first part is a shell jump. There's also a break, if I run from the start I can jump in that platform and pass without shell jump, but screw it?



I get a shell in that question block, and shell jump again.



I used this a few more times on this level.

Again. There's another break, I can kill the lotus with the shell, but I'm going to fix using a kill block instead of a cement block there.



I hate these parts. So why am I using it? 8>

This is easier than looks, I don't wanna put the springboard on the air, just kick it forward and jump ^_^

Heh looks good so far. You can remove the platform in the 4th screenshot to prevent breaks or you can block its way. Also, about the P-switch jump, I think you can keep it, considering this hack is not meant to have pit hack difficulty.

Is the slope hill absolutely needed? Or maybe you could make the player think shell jump is needed, but require them to keep the shell?

I think it's a hard and boring trap if used just by itself. If there's actually a reason besides just getting up the pipe (maybe if it's combined with another gimmick.) then it might be okay, but IMO midair POW jumps shouldn't be used outside of pit hacks (may be okay in a final stage or secret level).
Your hack looks good despite looking a little repetitive with the Lotus spin jumps.

Well its not that bad, pretty good actually, I'm just going to point out 2 things:


Honestly these look like the original 105 level's start and midway point, I'm not exactly a fan of that TBH.

Unless this is a fast platform, this looks really easy to me unless I'm an idiot and would jump on the invis-a-blocks.

Other then that, its not bad, not great ether... lets just say its a good kaizo hack #w{=D}

I used it as decoration. And I also thinked about make this shell useful but, I think I could remove this platform as well...

Heh, it looks kinda hard for me, because most of the times Mario falls in the left side of the pipe - the skull block - instead of the right side.

Well they're not being mean, they're just providing contructive criticism, so he can make an even better hack next time. It's not that the hack is bad at all. They're just saying ways to make it better.

There are different blocks. The lighter platforms are iced, and that white one below the giant Thwomp is a trap. First of all, the only way to get onto it is by running at full speed so you can get under the Thwomp. But the properties of that icy platform make it so that if you run at full speed, you slip, and it will make you fly into the spikes on the right wall.

That status bar is VERY strange, and that part is just to spinjump in the Thwomps? Not that creative, I assume.
