Romi's Sprite Package Problemz

Afternoon,

I just tried inserting the Hoopster sprite from Romi's Sprite Package and have had nothing but problems with it.

First of all I've read the readme about four thousand and eighty two times and know it word for word. I have acted upon it's every word and still can't get this fucker to insert.

I've inserted the patches it comes with with xkas, i've editted the definition.asm correctly and put it in the proper folder. i've editted it's cfg file so it inserts with romi's sprite tool.

When I insert it, it crashes a bit:

And then it adds this on the end which makes no sense.

Any help with this would be ace
There's plenty of ways for xkas to crash. If temp.log (or whatever it's called) exists, post its contents; it may contain a valid error message.

Ok here's the contents of temp.log:

As in the main Spritetool folder? Otherwise, that would explain the crash; I'm fairly certain that xkas crashes if it can't find a file it tries to incsrc.

I have put it in both the sprite tool main folder and the actual sprites folder and neither work.

Can anyone confirm that this sprite definitely works? Has anyone used it before?
How annoying.
Romi Sprites.zip/files/smb2/hoopster.zip/hoopster.asm contains an incsrc, which usually means it expects that file at the same location as Spritetool; however, it also contains db "INIT" and labels without colons, which means it's not an xkas sprite at all. Tell the cfg editor it's a TRAMS sprite and try again.

Oooh, that seems to work. Thanks very much, you can probably go ahead and lock this thread now :D
