Discuss: Super Mario's Wacky Worlds

Read the title.
If you haven't heard of it, then im not suprised.
SMWW was supposed to be a sequel of Mario World for
the Philips-CDI. And wouldn't you guess it, It's NOT made
by nintendo! Instead, the creators of the game, supposdly showed
it off to nintendo, and they were supprised by there work
However, it wasn't able to hit the shelves in stores due to the
poor sales to the CDI. And then nintendo decided they would have to
make the sequel themselves, and Yoshi's Island became the offical
sequel to SMW, and all of that. Show me your feelings about this
game, if you have the ROM. (Come on, it's not THAT bad.)

That is all.
I've seen clips of it around the internet but never tried it. I suppose I'll Google a rom at some point.
SMWC's official dentist since 2011.

Well good my friend, well good. however, it WAS cancelled in it's early stages (Pre-Alpha) so, you might find some glitches here and there.

I Never heard of this; I'm sure theres tons more canceled Nintendo games we don't know about...

At first, this sounds like a Cheesy Game Title; For when Nintendo decides to use our Hacks & Levels to make one big game.

If nintendo didn't make it; What company made SMWW?

Actually, Nintendo had nothing to do with that game's development. It was made by NovaLogic for the CD-i, but it was far too ambitious for what it could do, so it was scrapped, and later developed into Hotel Mario.

Other Submissions of mine!
Wait, what? You mean SMWW is a very early version of the crappiest
mario game we know today? HOLY ****

Actually, Hotel Mario isn't THAT bad; it's better than all the Zelda CDi games combined (but that doesn't amount to much). It's just an arcade-style Mario game with Super Mario Bros. Super Show segments thrown in. Or not, I could be lying.

As for Wacky Worlds, I'll look it up and play it and then I'll let in my opinion.
It's been said that Hotel Mario wouldn't have received the flack it did if it wasn't a Mario game on a non-Nintendo console. People expected quite alot from Phillips Interactive, forgetting that they are a small company basically needing the Mario brand name to survive in game sales (plus the cheesy cut scenes didn't help).

Mario Wacky Worlds though seemed like it would have been a pretty alright game had it been released. It seemed to put a real emphasis on areas that the Mario games never really explored (and to this day still haven't except for Mario Land), it's a shame that all we get to see of the game is a pretty crappy beta.
I thought this topic was going to be about the ROM hack. I didn't know it was a legit game that got abandoned in development.
