Super Mario: The Next Adventure - this hack is dead, don't bother with it.

Standard

Speaking of level design...

A few things you should think about:

Bros so early in the game? No.

And the part with the Shell Bro and the Multi-Coin Block is aimless - trying to catch a shell for a few minutes to use on the coin block is tedious - there's no point of having to go through that and to find only coins that you can even get to collect since it takes time to catch and throw the shell again and again.

To many spikes too early - cut down on them.

The giant pits aren't a great idea for a first world - with little room to jump.

And there are many more, but these are the ones I can only think of.
@Giant_Shyguy, are you talking about Hammer Bros? They're fine if they're used well. Even the original Mario games had Hammer Bros in early levels.

okay, 1 thing i can explain is the shell bro problem, first, you hit the invisible blocks, but dont jump on the shell, jump on the enemy itself when it gets close enough to the blocks, then jump on him.
besides, wormer21 is right, bros CAN come in early in nintendo-made mario games, and as for the pallete, its a result of using the pallete that came with my tileset for the 1-1 level you HAVE to play.
but i might fix the spike problem and use them later.
well, actully. never mind. i might cancel the hack. -_-

Well, you can't just give up like that. Just fix whatever you gotta fix, add some decoration and a tiny bit more of variation to your levels here and there and you're up.

I agree. If you're not the best at making a hack, try your best to improve it. Looks like you're in need of inspiration.
guess what? after a month of depression of hack failure,
im reviving this hack!
(as a vanilla-ish hack)

Ok so your remaking the hack. cool story.

why should we care? show us some screenshots to generate some interest. Telling us your remaking your (very bland) hack doesn't do you, or anyone here any good whatsoever.
Later.

its not as bland as you think it is anymore,
its now a vanilla hack with custom music, but nothing else, not counting the NEW level design.

Which is only more of a reason why you should provide some screenshots. You can say your levels aren't bland but we can only believe that if we were to see something.

Unless you have people following the hack or you were somewhat a decent length into the hack ; most of the times you can expect no comments when it comes to announcing unless screenshots are provided.

As for the intro, it looks decent; I'd suggest spicing it up though as that's the first thing people will see & look at. I think custom palettes would look good along with perhaps more decoration. (The gameplay doesn't have to be over the top though)

I recommend scrapping the title screen and doing it over; right now it's just a blatant 1-1 remake.
MAJOR UPDATE:
the IPS file for this hack is on my account and will soon be summitted as a hack.
be sure to download it!

hey, remember that one SMB-like level?
its got a custom tileset now + CLASSIC goombas with good palletes.

The only nitpick I have is that this hack lacks decoration. Use bushes or trees to add decoration. The level would look more fancy with them. Also the last level looks like a remake of some SMB levels. Please, don't do that. That's very unoriginal.

okay, i can explain some of this stuff,
about the SMB throwback level,
its incomplete, yet i intended to have a SMB throwback level,
then back to SMW,
plus, the decoration will be added in the next demo, plus another level or 2 will be made.
so try and follow me and this hack, okay? :)

why, why does my hack keep getting rejected?!
im always looking back at the problems i made,
like the fake brick blocks of the SMB throwback levels,
and the minor graphic glitches,
and level design issues,
but they still reject?!
yeah, im thinking about cancelling this hack. :l

Why don't you listen to what they say in your hack rejection thread?
Your hack is fun, there are just some issues here and there.
