List of Notable ADSR

This is a list of various ADSR commands ($ED) that would be useful to document when you just need that one instrument not in SMW, but don't want to make it require samples. This is also able to be used if you need to fix a particular instrument (ie.e @0 or @17, which can sound really bad one some notes)
[EDIT] Came back 2 months later and decided to finally update first post.

It's weird how many times I find songs with sawtooths, and since I still don't understand SampleTool, this helps a lot. Thank you.
Just back here to browse a bit.
For @0 I oftenly use $ed $4c $c4. Works pretty well for most flute songs in my opinion.

These values also work pretty well with @6. At low octaves, it could even make a decent @8 alternative.

BTW, I think this thread should be stickied.
Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!
Hot Rod: I have nothing but contempt for this court!
- Transformers the Movie (1986)
Also you can add blips: $ED $7F $FA
Works with @0
Actually, when I use @0 for a square and @1 for a sawtooth, I usually use $ED $7F $E0 for both.

Now let's see what interesting ADSR values I can pull up...I actually made a test track consisting of a bunch of different instruments with various ADSR values (you can find it here, if you're interested) to see if anything interesting would come of it, although several of them were just me testing previous values that I'd used.

Some maybe-mildly-useful ADSR notes of mine:
- I got @9 to sound sort of like a cello once by using $ED $58 $62 and playing it at a low octave
- @0 $ED $7F $F3 makes a decent harp
- $ED $77 $E0 (or $ED $76 $E0) is a pretty good flute ADSR for @0, as long as you can keep it from sounding too quiet. The same settings work quite well for @1, and sometimes @4 and @14, also.
- You pretty much have to set the ADSR on @3 and @8 to $ED $7F $E0 if you want to have any hope of them not getting completely drowned out

I wish I had more, but...I don't know. I don't think I've found any really useful ADSR settings for anything.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
$ed $7f $e0 is used to play a note at its full length, nothing too special but still useful. :P

Anyhow, here are some more ADSR commands:

@0 $ed $0f $e0
@1 $ed $7a $6a
@3 $ed $7f $f4
@8 $ed $7f $ee
@14 $ed $2e $26
@15 $ed $0e $e0
Has anybody got an ADRS command that sounds like strings? With which instrument?

@1 $ED $36 $45 is pretty good. When I put three @1's together, I come out with this (wait a little while, it gets exciting).

EDIT: However, I use that a lot with single @1's as well.

EDIT2: @1 $ED $55 $44 is also good. I used it on this.

EDIT3: Lava Drop :D Okay, I need to stop editing.
@Botcrazy: Ok. Thanks, now I'm done with my port.

I have a Stickerbush Symphony Marimba sounding @0 ADSR here too.

@luigi370

Don't post in a thread for the sake of keeping it on the first page of the forum. Don't post anything completely irrelevant like that either. If you have any criticism or anything of relevance that is your time to post. The last post in this thread was 12 days old...

Don't do this again.
