Hello again, welcome to the M&LDJ Thread. Here you're able to become a Beta Tester or suggest ideas, or make custom music, join me and make some of your own levels, etc.

Story:

One day Mario & Luigi were playing in Yoshi's Island in Dinosaur Land.

They decide to split up and go around and might find something cool (Alpha Version 1 will be available after Alpha World 1 is done).

Here's some screenshots Title 1</a>" alt="">
1. That was the title.
There used to be stuff in this footer, but it's all gone now.
You need to be able to upload your screenshots somewhere, and once they are online, you can get links for them. Some services include webs.com, Photobucket, and more.

This thread needs screenshots or else it will be closed in 24 hours.

Also, could you please remove the huge survey result in your signature? It breaks our rules regarding signature size.

Apart from that, welcome to the site. Your story sounds interesting. Best of luck with everything and don't hesitate to ask for help in any of the forums.

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.
You can use imgur.com to upload pictures, that is what I use, and it is unlimited space too =D

OK, here are the screens for those who can't see them and my opinions on each one.

1. The '2' in 2011 has a bad palette.
2. The file select menu will cut off the text where it is now.
3. Use the numbers at the top of the 8x8 tile selector window. Don't mix them with the Nintendo "1990,1991" numbers as they look bad. Also, use the "Home" and "End" keys to change palettes.

The text box doesn't make much sense. Also a different intro level would look better.

This looks flat and boring. Add in some hills, enemies and decorations like bushes.

The note block has a bad palette.

1. Why all the clouds everywhere?
2. Looks flat and boring.

1. Bad note block palette.
2. Looks bland.

If you want to post screenshots in future, then upload to an image hosting site like imgur and in each picture copy and paste the IMG code here.

1. No it won't. And here's a screenshot showing it. . Second, I will fix the 2. Thanks for showing them correctly.

2. The thing is that the story takes place on Dinosaur Land, so...um... wait what was the question again?

3. That is only the start of the level. More hills are later. Yes I will add more decorating later. As I said, this level is in it's alpha meaning might be changed/edited.

4. It is a vanilla hack, so get used to it.

5. First the clouds. Yes I know they look misplaced, but I needed a way to show it's not all the way underground. Second, you come here to get the Yellow Switch after the Green.

6. First, same answer as #4. Second, same answer again as #3 and also again same answer as to #4.

It's because the text is oddly worded and doesn't make sense :/, also, changing the BG of that level might make it look cooler.

Bushies are a pretty cool chooice for decortion, you might want to use it :)

The fact that it's a vanilla hack doesn't justify wrong palettes...

I didn't quite get what you meant... but removing those clouds and adding some slopes/ledges might help to make that sublevel look WAY cooler (no, seriously, remove the clouds).

And also bushies! :D

Well, anyway, some palette changes and slopes/ledges might make this hack look better, try it out!

NOTE: Look at next post for IPS.

Oh yeah, this hack right now is on a standstil . I have a side hack (you can find it on the forums) that's a prequel of Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros USA & 3 but the sequel of SMB1 and SMB2.

yczedit: ROM link removed
There used to be stuff in this footer, but it's all gone now.
I would remove the link as you can not link to ROMS on this site. :P
It's not that hard to make an IPS patch. You can even do it in Lunar Magic now. Just go to 'File' -> 'Restore' -> 'Create IPS file for this ROM...'
All about IPS patching is in the F.A.Q.

Also, removing the link would be nice to avoid the chance being banned.
Here's a IPS.

There. I hope you are #w{=)}

Uhm, if it's underground, it's underground. The only way to show clouds is to go up. There are no clouds underground, AT ALL. Even in a normal level in reality, the only clouds that can be with in reach are fog.

So take out the clouds. Even if the "underground" is above, it's impossible to have clouds inside a cave (and again, unless it's fog, which that isn't)

Here's a alt for those who want a IPS.

We don't choose to have an IPS, we HAVE to have an IPS. Just a little note for future demos and releases.
The IPS isn't working. Did you use a clean SMW ROM? The ROM you need is "Super Mario World (U) [!].smc"

No, I won't post a link to one as it's illegal. Use Google (or whatever search engine you prefer) to find that.

Use this Clean ROM Verifier to check if your SMW ROM is clean.

Yes I used a clean SMW ROM as my unmodified ROM in Lunar IPS.

Check to make sure you have the ROM filename different from the IPS or it can glitch out.

(Plus I use CoolROM to get my ROMs so that could be your problem to.)

Another thing, the name of the unmodified ROM I get is Super Mario World.smc not Super Mario World (U) [!] because when I first used that type of ROM it would glitch out.

Try to make an IPS with LM. LM 1.8+ have this feature. It's very simple and there's less chance of having corrupt IPS'es (until your ROM is bad or corrupt).
Here is a new one made using LM!

Enjoy it!

I would paly it, but I think a few more screenshots could attract more attention for the viewer, and make them want more to download the hack in my opinion. I'm going to play it, and edit this post with bugs/glitches from the hack.

How or what Level Mode do you need for the fog?
