Well, I'd just rather be safe than sorry, which is why I put in the disclaimer. I don't want anyone to think I steal graphics. D:
Layout by Mirann <3

I'm probably retired tbh

I'm working on the palette right now for this level, currently but possibly not going to be named Picnic Plunge. Critique as much as you like, more will be on the way for this.

---

Oh yeah, I have a little more of another completed level.

I do realize the grass on the bones is cut off there, I'm going to replace that very soon.

Like I said, more will come when I'm not in as much of a rush as I am now at 12:19 at night. (Busy, busy.)

These are screens of the first level of a secret project I'm working on. I'm hoping for this to be one of the few levels that isn't tileset mixed in this vanilla hack.

Mario's Vanilla Journey

Progress: 22/72 levels complete
First screen of my Strawberry Contest level:

Please IGNORE the glitched Piranha. I will fix that.
@LunarYoshi: I like the look of Picnic Plunge, although some of the colours seem a bit unusual, I think overall the palettes look good. The other level looks great, i'm surprised at the red BG gradient, but it fits the level really well.

@akacesfan: That's looking awesome so far, the level design looks good, and i'm liking the vanilla style of it. Nice job.

@MarioFan22: Looks good, I think the orangey palette looks just about right, the design from what you've shown looks interesting so far.
The next hacking contest on the german SMW hacking site. This time the theme is a fall level.

Holy crap! The palette is beautiful, and how the heck did you merge so well the graphics! o.O

FG: Layer 1 and Layer 2.
BG: Layer 3.

Anyway, that level is so beautiful that it makes me feel something warm inside my heart -'w'-

Thats really cool. I like the BG and the music. all of it gives the level a very...well...I dont know, Frantic (I guess) feeling.

Wow! That's amazing! The palettes are really nice. I like how you used the falling leaves cluster sprite.

Extras

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

I still have no idea how to make YouTube friendly videos in Snes9x.

Crag Citadel (2-Castle) The theme is predominantly shifting platforms over a massive pit. For the ten or so people that played my withdrawn 24hosmw entry, the first half of this level will feel very familiar.

Yes, Larry's hair is still cutoff.

Port Harbor (3-4)
Thanks to LevelASMTool (which is giving me some trouble lately) and ScrollBars, the BG uses some parallax scrolling to have the hills and mountains move at three different speeds while the water sparkles and has more of a perspective scrolling going with it.

About YouTube Friendly videos, just record, and then open the recording up in Window's Movie Maker and resave the file as a .wmv. I use FRAPS when recording, and FRAPS always produces a .avi. So I have no choice but to convert it to a .wmv.

Otherwise, these screen shots are awesome. You have a subscribe button somewhere?

Castle Screenshots
I was never a big fan of pitfalls, but meh. They're everywhere in SMW anyways. I can not tell if you drew the foreground yourself or not, I do recognize the background. By the way, are those used blocks a blocksnake? If not, I'd simply say replace them with flooring or something. I believe it'll make the area look a bit better.

Grasslands Screenshots
Rotating Platform gimmick. I've barely used those worth a crap. Already, yours look positioned nicely. Few fuzzy's here and there. My guess is that at the end of the level, you'll use falling platforms right? By the way, the background is also excellent. You sure got a talent with graphics there.

Everything else I can't say. I don't comment on bosses. But do tell me how to work scroll bars and stuff. I'd appreciate in PM please if you'd like to tell.
The 1st level from my untitled redrawn hack. Still a WIP. Some decorations was ripped from a Black Squirrel's Sprite Sheet (like the not-so-small hills and the trees). The pipe leads to a cave part.

Alright so here is an updated version (hopefully final version) of the Yellow Switch Palace for the JDCGames Collaboration Hack.

CLICKY CLICKY =)

Everything on this page is looking great!

Here is my first attempt at using a custom Layer 3 background. I replaced the beta cage in Tileset C with these clouds from SMB2. I think it turned out pretty well!

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.

That's looking pretty awesome, and I can't believe that's just a first attempt at Layer 3.

Edit: Level Up! *plays 1-up sound*
