Your Favorite Hack

I think my favourite hack overall was the not very popular Quest on Full Moon Island. I think the hack is extremely underrated. It has all aspects that a hack should have for me.

That hack wasn't super fancy anything, but it was AMAZING with what it did do.
Good fucking bye.
Vip4/5 can't really decide, never understand the negativity on a hack that wasn't made to be trying to be the best, and in my opinion it is.

The creativity in every level astounds the hell out of me even to this day... Just some silly little aspects turned into a full-on gimmick for a level, wow.

Personally I never played much or TSRPR past the first world. IMO it was boring and I didn't really enjoy it that much. But anyway, i'd probably go and say that Vip 5 is probably one of my favorites. I liked SMB3X and The Seven Golden Statues as well.
I'm actually shocked that Mario's Keytastrophe was hasn't been brought up yet. It was certainly my favorite, though it is a bit outdated in regards to its resources. Granted, the last demo was released 2008 if I recall correctly, so eh.
One of my favourites is Super Pika Land Ultra. Great level design, very small edits of vanilla GFX, awesome underused custom music. Everything I need to call a hack excellent. Oh, and I forgot: PiKaChU:)

2009. Are you thinking of the three-world demo?
Good fucking bye.
I did actually mention Mario's Keytastrophe in passing, and I agree that is a fantastic hack. Definitely the best puzzle hack out there. Sadly, I don't think that SNN has plans to finish it.
I do believe he said somewhere that he might work on it before he dies, but... Not that that's good news or anything.

I also hate how it just ends at like the most interesting point in any video game hack I've ever seen ever.
Good fucking bye.
My favorites are Bowser Rampages Again, 7 Golden Statues, and Mario Gives Up 2.
My favorite hack is The Tale of Elementia, because of it's level design and story. Sadly, from what I've heard, Supertails isn't going to finish it entirely.

The levels are simple, yet fun. The graphics stand out, and it just feels like an actual Mario game.
I no longer have interest in SMW Hacking as I did when I first started several years ago.
I enjoyed a lot hacks like SMWCP, Bowser rampages again, Mario's amazing adventure or The legend of the 7 golden statues, but my favorite hack is TSRP, i don't know why but i still think that the level design was charming and very entretaining to play.

Well, yeah, but there's A Severed Freedom to look forward to. Whenever it's 100% finished.
Good fucking bye.
It would have to possibly be SMB3X. That was a great hack that felt like a continuation of one of my favorite games(SMB3), unfortunately there hasn't been a sequel to it.

I also loved The 7 Golden Statues(maybe my second favorite) and TSRPR might be my third. All involve quality levels, in fact everything was of a good quality.
I am not a hacker by trade, I am an observer and I can be very observant. I tend to lurk around here to prolong the good experience of playing the original SMW. Whatever can add onto it is something that I will definitely do when I am bored which is often. And I will rarely post and give praise when needed to the hacks that may make me interested to relive memories.

My worst enemy in Mario isn't Bowser but my controller that keeps on getting disconnected from the inside. Might be my memory count.
Top ten favorites that I've played:
1. ASMT by Talkhaus/Vip5 by 2ch (tie)
2. Legend of the Rift by Foursword4
3. Just Blob by TheDutchLuigi
4. Mario Gives Up 2 by cyphermur9t
5. Vip4 by 2ch/Mario's Keytastrophe by SNN (tie)
6. Drama Mistery: Luigi and Kood in the Mysterious Portal by /Grate
7. Brutal Mario by carol/Aether: The Paramount Omnibus by Deeke (tie)
8. Luigi's Adventure Series by Anikiti
9. EVW by Snifit
10. The Artifacts of Marvelous Birds by exit1337/Maxodex's World by Maxodex (tie)
This is all my own opinion.
soundcloud / bandcamp / twitter / buy/stream my EP / buy my touhou music / buy my NEW album!!!
Mine are Brutal Mario, and Luigi's Adventure 3 OSE. For some reason, I likw the hacks that use graphics from other games, and don't use overused music.
The hacks that I like the most are from contests here from SMWC, and my favorite hack of a contest, besides being the first level for a contest I've seen, is the hack The Nightmare House made by Wakana (HLDC 2014)
I also have other favorites like Artifact Chamber by Scorpion (HLDC 2014), and some of the old CLDC, such as Leafy Reminiscence by Mirann and OHN (CLDC 2013), Level by JackTheSpades (CLDC 2013), Chocolate Mountain Mysteries by Imamelia (CLDC 2016) and several others ...
And in addition to The Nightmare House being my favorite contest level of all, he was the one who interested me to start with hacking SMW !!!
The Tale of Elementia Demo 2. Really deserves a closure.
Either the TSRP saga or the Devious Four saga
i just lurk sometimes
