Hooray, 13th place. I was expecting to place lower than I did.

Whenever I used the term "tight" in judging, I'm referring to certain passages being really narrow and/or claustrophobic. This kind of style generally makes certain levels less fun and/or tedious to play (barring a few rare exceptions, such as the first room of Ludwig's Castle in the original).

I should have something witty to put here (even if it's just to update dated info), shouldn't I?

Basically...
- No extra pieces (that serves little to no purpose).
- Nothing's wasted, everything's a place it would make sense.
- Nothing to detract from the main experience.

One well-oiled machine.

============

After thinking about it more, while I ultimately don't care/mind about the (hypothetical) judging on mine something about it still just doesn't sit right with me on it even if it's absolutely correct. Maybe it has to do that it would put me 47th/89 when even I am sure I could do much better than that; but as I hark on, it's due to me completely mis-intrepreting the rules. So that'll probably bug me until I do much better in a later contest (Choco?).

Edit: *slow* I should stop talking on the phone when I make replies.

I am not that surprised, the level was glitchy, I could have polished it a bit more, but I had to do stuff, which is why I submitted it when I did. Also its my fault about the springboard jump, I moved a block before I made the IPS, causing it to screw up, and I guess I got lucky while playtesting it before making the IPS.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Everyone (including myself) knows you are a capable level designer, and you are far from the only one who "misinterpreted" the rules. I had purposely set them up to be a little more open ended, just to see what people would come up with. Given the fact that only about 40% of the people actually somewhat hit the nail on the head, I'll likely be making the next contest like this a little more .. obvious for everyone.
27th, not bad, not bad! I'm happy with my placement, even if I kinda messed up by making my entry a "final" door.

Yeah!
22nd in my first contest!

EDIT: Ahem, I forgot: Congratulation to the winners! :)
I'd like to see another contest like this. I REALLY want to do better than 75th.
53rd? Not bad for my first contest, I guess. I thought the level might have been too long. Oh well.
Tied with Jimmy52905 for 29th place, I thought it was good contest.

Anyways, would anyone happen to have a ZIP file of all the entries?
I no longer have interest in SMW Hacking as I did when I first started several years ago.
Aw shoot, I'll admit I thought I'd do relatively good, but after submitting it I thought the length of it was going to kill its chances. Glad to see it didn't in the end.

Congrats YCZ and Wa, I loved both of your levels and thought you guys would do good before the results were shown <3. There were a lot of other levels in particular I played that I liked; everyone did a great job.
33th. Nice dubs.
This contest was fun, I hope there will be more like that in the future.
This is also the first contest when I played all the entries and it was fun. I think I will now play every entries whenever there is a contest.
Oh, and congratulation to the guys who won.
Cool 21st place. Much better than the vanilla contest. Also, congratulations to the top 3.

There is one in the discussion thread, but I think it has some mistakes, so I'd advise you to download them from the submissions thread. You are going to LP all the entries, aren't you?
Congratulations to the guys that won. This was certainly an interesting contest to follow, and it even gave me a little inspiration to work on my hack again. Thanks for doing this, SNN. It was fun :)

I'm thinking about doing so, however since there's 86 entries and most of them would take a minute or 2 at most, I would do numerous entries in each of the videos.

What, how does that even work. I'm seriously surprised.

Cool for me though I suppose. This at least has encouraged me a bit to perhaps participate in the next contest as well, with a bit more serious intent though.
Holy Shit 25th place?!?!?!?

I did MUCH better than I thought I would've. (my estimate 50-60th)

One error I noticed when replaying it just a few minutes ago though was that I didn't put in anyway to gain power-ups in it... I guess a quick lunar magic edit could let you fix that (if you want to try with power-ups)

But, wow, I expected I would be MUCH worse.

Edit: Typo
You, what do you own the world? How do you own disorder, disorder?

woo 46th

I guess I did well for my first contest entry ever- pretty fun to create as well; gonna join another contest soon I guess :D
The ZIP in the discussion thread (link for lazy people) was made by me, and can be updated by me. If it has mistakes, PM me and I can fix them (although I'm pretty sure I fixed them all).
12th place. That's not actually that bad, especially since I don't know a thing about injecting any kind ASM what-so-ever in SMW. In fact, also considering that the last time I use Lunar Magic was back in 2007, I'd say that's brilliant!

Awesome competition by the way!
